We have had good luck with the asian pears and apples too. We mostly stick to the berries and grapes, and have good luck with those. I find veggies to be good about 90% of the time. However, I've had really tasteless oranges, plums, and mediocre apricots. However, I've had good bananas, most apples, strawberries, and kiwi. I'm not sure what the deal is, but it makes me cautious of the fruit. My wife doesn't even want to try the fruit, but she's been too spoiled on quality local stuff right now. I did actually take the oranges back they were so bad. I tried various levels of ripeness. Maybe they would work for restaurant stuff and not solo eating.
