Costco Coupon Book - June 15 - July 5, 2009
There are lots of great coupons for Father’s Day gifts, travel items, and plenty of things to keep everyone entertained this summer. Across the 100 coupons there is more than $1,300.00 in savings and an extra $3,000.00 in savings at Costco.com. I like that there are plenty of coupons on household items that I can stock up on, and of course, toothpaste. That said, I’m not overwhelmingly impressed with any of the items that have coupons in this book. There are some good, solid deals but nothing I’ve been anxiously waiting to try or absolutely love.
Food & Beverages: There are 18 food and beverage coupons. Lots of soda coupons this time. I guess summer is the time for everyone to grab a cold caffeinated soda of their choosing…and to save some money on it too.
- Kirkland Signature Take and Bake 5 Cheese Pizza – Now, I know these aren’t the healthiest thing that I could choose, and some will say that it isn’t the best tasting pizza either. However, for $3.00 off of the already low price of $9.99, it’s a hard deal to pass up. I like the Costco pizzas because you can get the crust very crunchy. I actually heard someone complaining about having to cook it themselves; that was the reason they didn’t want it. Seriously? If you’re too tired or whatever to slide a pizza into the oven and then remove it and cut it, you are maybe too tired to eat even, I mean with all that chewing. Crazy! $3.00 off; limit 1.
- Dreyer’s/Edy’s All Natural Fruit Bars – If you’re kids are hanging around the house this summer, and looking for treats, you might want to consider getting a couple boxes of these. They’re fruit and all natural, so it’s a healthier choice than some of the other freezer treats you could buy. The bars are made with fruit juice, fruit chunks or zest (depending on the flavor obviously), have less than 100 calories, and are fat free. The box at Costco has 24 bars in it, 6 each of: grape, strawberry, tangerine, and lemonade. $2.50 off; no limit.
- Oh Boy! Oberto or Pacific Gold Twin Pack Jerky, beef or turkey: $3.50 off; limit 1.
- Mrs. May’s Trio Bars, 20 count: $5.00 off; limit 3.
- Stacy’s Pita Chips, 28 ounce: $2.00 off; no limit.
- Wheat Thins, 40 ounce OR Honey Maid Grahams, 57.6 ounce: $2.00 off; no limit.
- Mott’s Apple Juice, 2 – 1 gallon bottles: $2.00 off; limit 2.
- SunnyD Sports Cap, 24 – 11.3 ounce bottles: $2.50 off; limit 1.

- Kirkland Signature Spiral Sliced Ham, 7 to 11.5 pounds: $3.00 off; limit 1.
- Cello Cheese Party Platter Variety Pack, 2 pounds: $2.25 off; limit 1.
- Kirkland Signature Lattice Apple Pie: $2.00 off; no limit.
Household Items: There are 24 coupons for various household items; lots of picnic supply things. Lots of cleaning supplies too, which is great and just in time for most of us to refill our supplies probably.
- Leatherman Core Multi-Tool and Crater Knife Combo – We bought one of these Leatherman tools from Costco a few years ago and have found it very handy. It’s great to take along when camping or hiking because it’s got a ton of tools on it: pliers, saws, files, knives, and a ruler. I mean, there are so many things that you can use that for. Sometimes it is a little hard to open and pull out some of the smaller knife or saw blades. I saw this at Costco this weekend and it was $48.00 or $49.00 for this set. $10.00 off; limit 3.
- Berkline “Austin” Fabric Recliner: $75.00 off; limit 2.

I love this blog! Thanks so much for writing it. I’m a recent Costco convert and just hit the first day of the coupons last night. Will be eating my 5 cheese pizza tonight for dinner.

How do I get the costco coupon book so I can use the coupons?

If you’re a current Costco member, you should receive the coupon book in the mail. If you’re a new member, this can take a couple of weeks and you may have missed the most recent coupon book mail schedule. However, you can also go to the Customer Service desk and ask them for a copy. You might want to make sure that they have your current address and that you’re membership account is setup to receive this type of mail from Costco (on the “PMO” sub-screen in your membership file).

Jessica, when you cook your pizza be sure to go for the lower end of the suggested time. Ours cook very quickly & can turn overly crunchy (also known as ‘burnt) in just a minute. I usually cook mine for 9 minutes and then check it to make sure it’s not turning into charcoal.
And thanks for the nice comments about my blog!

Jaymee: I never used to get these coupons, so I went to the service desk and found out that I had some how “opted out” of all the mailings. They can clear it up in a few minutes.

Although you have to be the “main” person on the account to get the coupons. So if you have other members on your account who do not live in your household (kids in college) those other memebers will not receive the coupons.

I just want to let y’all know that you don’t actually need the coupon book or coupons to get the deals when you shop. The prices are automatically changed at the register. We still like getting the booklet to plan our shopping trip, though, otherwise we get lost in areas we’re not supposed to be shopping in…
10
Kimberly //
2009.06.18 at 7:06 am
Unfortunately, Khrys, not all Costco’s handle this the same way. Some use a ‘master coupon’ approach still, like the one you shop at, while others have returned to requiring that customers have at least one or more coupons to receive the discounts. At my Costco, they have indicated that all Costco’s will be switching back to requiring that customers give them a physical coupon.

Yeah our Costco here in MO requires you to have all coupons as well as surrender the coupon. They told me it was to monitor the quantities people buy. I dont get it, dont they give the coupons so people will buy more quantities?

Just a note on the Cheese Pizzas: You easily can make them healthier if you simply use them as a platform for adding other, more nutritious toppings. For example, adding topping s like wilted spinach, rings of various colored bellpeppers, thin slices of zucchini and yellow squashes, mushrooms, etc., add nutrition and very few calories.
That way, your 350 calories a slice (or whatever it is) will at least also pack a good nutritional punch as well.

Does anyone know where i can get more info on the HP 16″ Widescreen Laptop Computer? What is the model number on this laptop? Looking into possibly buying it. Any additional info would be appreciated.

Jay T – you can find the HP laptop on Costco.com. The page there, should give you all of the information you’re looking for.

Anyone know the specs of the HP p6610t Desktop? I googled it and couldn’t find any. Wondering if the model is obsolete?

Ashish, you can find the specs for the HP p6110t computer online at Costco.com. They made a typo in their coupon book, and it is really a p6110t. In any case, it’s not available to purchase online until after June 26th.

Perfect! I had been looking for those specs on their site for the past one week and couldn’t find them. Anyways, thanks much for the link. Good job on the site Kimberly – very useful and detailed.

Where can find a coupon book on-line? I lost my hard copy.
Thanks

Glenn, I’ve listed all of the current coupons here. Costco won’t accept photocopies or print outs of the coupons, so you should go to the Customer Service desk and ask them for another coupon book if there are any of the coupons that you want to use.

@9 Kimberly, I noticed the same thing at my local Costco. It sucks when I took the time to clip out the coupons and they didn’t take them, or when I didn’t and they want them. I wish they would do things in a consistent manner.
From this coupon book, I got:
Perrier – came home to find one bottle was emptied due to a leak (these are plastic bottles). I suggest a quick visual check.
Wipe ‘N Clear Lens Wipe – generous amount and it’s an FSA item (woot!). The lens surface doesn’t dry as fast as I would like, but once it does, it says clear for a long time.
Cottonelle Fresh Wipes – works just as well as Pond’s Cleansweep (which I wanted to get, but was not in stock) for make-up removal.

I might have to get the lens cleaning wipes since we both wear glasses. I just skipped right past that when I was trying to figure out which coupons to use.

Hey Guys:
Just a caution – I used to use the “Wipe ‘N Clear Lens Wipe” all the time, until it took my anti-reflective coat right off my glasses. In fact the Costco optical department doesn’t recommend them. The box also states not to use them if you get the anti-reflective coat on your glasses, which most people have now days.
Thanks for this website- it is great!

Kimberly //

Brian, thanks for the tip about the lens cleaner. I ended up not getting any because I worried that it would scratch my lenses but I really would have been irritated to lose the anti-reflective coating!

Just from looking at the past trending of the frequency of the coupon books this year, I’d guess about 2 weeks before the next coupon book arrives.

Does anyone know when the Harmonics laminate goes on sale again? Or if I can talk a manager into honoring an expired coupon ($8 off in June 15 – July 5, 2009).
Was looking into buying the Harmonics laminate from Costco for finishing a basement. Looks like I missed the $8 off opportunity in the coupon book just passed. I can wait one more coupon book else I will fall behind my basement project.
Thank you in advance for your reply/comments/suggestions.
