The surgery went well, in the surgeon's own words, "it went perfect". I've got a new shorter cast that causes less inconvenience with work, though still more than I'd like. I have lots of hardware now! We love that garlic bread too- it's a lot more expensive in Canada- I believe it's $5.49 or something! We still buy it whenever we see it though.
