OK, I know this is an old thread, but it's the closest thing I could find....

My Costco in Greenville, SC has the worst selection of Blu-ray titles. It's been getting worse and worse since 2010. They have maybe 10 to 20 titles, yet still have a massive standard DVD selection. I went today, and other than the nature genre of blu-ray, they only have 5 titles available in blu-ray. What's the deal?

Lori, I agree with you completely on this one. I hate it when companies send stuff like that in clearly marked boxes. I would definitely write an email to the Costco Customer Support folks and let them know that kind of thing is a bad idea.

I just ordered a blue ray from Costco.com and then read your article. The price was fantastic compared to other sites. Well the blue ray came today and was left on my porch. It was not packed in another box. They slapped a shipping lable on the blue ray box and sent it UPS. Luckily my husband was home to collect our items. It could have sat on my porch all day for anyone to take. Not very good customer service and I am going to let them know that.

After I picked the wrong horse in the HDDVD/Blu Ray debacle, I decided to wait awhile before getting a blu ray player. I purchased the Panasonic DMP-BD60 after reading the prior reviews about Panasonic players and their ability to play everything without problem along with the fact that Panasonic prepares regular firmware updates. I am completely happy with it. It plays whatever I put in without a glitch or problem. The load times are not that bad (my HDDVD is alot slower). The firmware update was smooth and without any problems. The picture is terrific, sharp, clear and in the case of "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull", it seems to have an almost 3D quality in certain scenes. The upconverter works as well or better than my Toshiba (which was very good). And with the current price decreases, it is the best value by far. Don't hesitate to buy it.
