[...] As usual, there are several things in the coupon book that I have already reviewed, so if you’re curious about my take on something you should try using the Google search tool for my blog (on the upper right hand side). For instance, one of the things that I have written about before are the Snapware container sets. This month there is an instant savings of $5.00 for a 42 piece set. I love my Snapware containers. The sets have a variety of sizes for just about anything you could want to store. The snapping close of the lid definitely makes sure that your food doesn’t spill out all over your lunch bag or your fridge. Plus, they clean up really well, no matter if I’ve had tomato based stuff in them or not. The set that I had purchased was only 36 pieces, so you get a few more now. So, if you’re curious you should check out my full review.
Sometimes I think Costco yields to the popular choice, not necessarily the best.

I've often seen the new 'big thing' at Costco, and in some cases have found they don't live up to their hype. While some turn out not to be up to Costco standards, they allow Costco to offer new popular items.

My guess with TurboTax is that it's an item they can get a good deal on, plus it's a name that members can trust. I know I used a free tax software in the past but can't remember if it was TurboTax or H&R Block. A lot of Costco members are small business owners so the software choice could be geared to them.

French Toast Muffins?! Oh my goodness, I will be heading to the bakery section today. I tend to overlook the muffins due to all the fat & calories, but now if they're a bit smaller and with the new flavor, I may have to pick some up. Thanks for your updates, I always try to check out your site before I make my costco runs!

I've got nothing against TurboTax since I've never used it. I did taxes by hand until three years ago when I discovered TaxAct, which is absolutely free for federal filers and $13 for each state return (not an issue in Nevada).

I'm also a Costco addict but don't always agree with their choices. Every bargain shopper should be made aware of TaxAct. And no, I don't have any financial interest in their success, beside the fact that if they are succesful I can continue to use the free software every year.

Personally, I think a cook time of 40-50 minutes for the penne is a bit longer than we needed to make a salad. However, I don't mind sitting around waiting for it to finish heating up because that's time where I didn't have to cut, chop, stir, saute, pour, fry, or anything else. Sometimes you just want a low effort meal!
