Gosh, I don’t know if you can get a refund if you don’t actually have the product. I think you’ll need to either call the 1800 number for Daniele or you could ask at your local Costco.

In order for bacteria to survive, there would have had been some moisture of some kind in the black pepper prior to grinding it up. Otherwise I would think the meat would be more suspect than a dry spice.

We received a phone call from Costco regarding it. Luckily the stuff spoiled before we were able to eat it so it was already tossed.

Thanks for the info. I’d heard of the recall but the news made it seem that only one brand was involved.
