Hey Neal - I went to Costco today and remembered you mentioned the lack of Kirkland Salmon. My Costco in Atlanta carries it. I'd contact the home office if it's that important to you - I've had to do that in the past. Good luck!

Got all revved up last week to drive 3 hours to my nearest Costco (Albuquerque) to stock up with my usual 24 cans of Kirkland salmon, hoping that last time's substitution of the inferior Bear & Wolf (smelly, looks unappetizing) was a momentary aberration, but noooo! - there was the B&W again. Checked at customer service; Kirkland salmon has been "deleted".

The KS salmon was one of my "anchor" purchases - Hatch Green Chile Stew was the other, also "deleted" - now I have much less of a reason to drive all that way to go to Costco . . . .

How do I find out WHERE the Kirkland Signature products come from? Is the KS Greek Yogurt made from milk from my state or somewhere in the mid-west? How can I find out which KS products are made in my state or at least on my side of the continent?

@RobinfromOrlando

I went to my local Costco (Los Angeles) last week and the bakery told me that they are no longer making the granola. This granola was similar to the one you described with almonds, walnuts, raisins, dried cranberries, etc.. I have not seen the one with chocolate in it since I visited the NW Indianapolis store a few years ago.

@Chiffonade - Maybe the chanterelles are a seasonal item? Or perhaps they're having a problem with their supplier. Sometimes they have to pull things because of supplier issues and after a while they come back. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

I couldn't cook without Kirkland's Organic non-salt seasoning. It's incredible on everything. I also just found a post by someone who says they used it to make no salt broth. I'm going to try that out.

For a while, Costco sold Chanterelle Mushrooms for $10/lb! They were gorgeous - big and meaty. I bought some each time I went. Unfortunately, I think that buyer got fired because they haven't had them the last 2 times I went to Costco.
