Well, the old coupon book has barely ended and now there’s a new one starting today. This latest Costco UK Coupon Book runs through March 20th, so just 3 weeks. The first thing I noticed was that they have another coupon for the Finish dishwasher tablets again this month, which is kind of odd. So, at least if you missed out on that one last month, you don’t have to be upset, because there’s an identical coupon this month. Though, overall, not as much savings as last month, just £460.00 this month (vs. £640.00 last month).
I’ve uploaded the March Costco UK Coupon Book PDF (or view it in the Google PDF viewer) so you can browse it if you haven’t gotten yours yet. If you didn’t get your book or never do, you should stop by Customer Service and make sure that they have all of your mailing information correct and that you have allowed them permission to send you things in the mail. Also, while you’re there, ask them for a copy of the latest book if they didn’t hand you one when you walked in the store. Here in the UK I never have to actually give them the coupons, and they don’t seem interested in taking them from people that have cut them out even.
This month the Executive Member special deal is for £25.00 off Intuit QuickBooks Pro Accounting, with a final price of £137.98 (including VAT). We have used QuickBooks for business stuff and it is really useful for a small company or a freelancer. It can make invoices and quotes, as well as track sales, expenses, and profits. Plus, it makes things much easier at tax time (at least in the US).
There seem to be quite a few beer and wine coupons this month. And for post-party cleanup, there are quite a few cleaning supplies too. I think they have the whole range of Finish dishwasher products: tablets to rinse aid to dishwasher cleanser.
I got excited when I saw the coupon for what I thought was language software, but turns out it is just audio CDs, which seem less helpful to me.
There are only a couple of big electronics items (really, just three and one is kind of borderline): 37″ Panasonic LED television for £599.98 (after £130.00 off , including VAT), an Acer 11.6″ laptop for £335.98 (after £35.00 off, including VAT), and an HP Officejet 8500A for £94.99 (after £30.00 off, including VAT). So, really, I’m being generous because that laptop and printer are kind of on the fringes of big electronics items.
I think the coupons last month seemed better, but that could just be what because these don’t have much overlap with the products that I buy at Costco. I’m not sure there are any of these that I’ll go out of my way to use this month. But maybe you’ll feel differently and be thinking, I was waiting for that coupon for such and such.
