Last Day to Order Super Bowl XLVI Tickets from Costco.com

February 3rd, 2012 · 2 Comments

Maybe you’ve always dreamed of going to the Super Bowl, or maybe you just really like one of the teams that are playing this year, perhaps you live in or around Indianapolis and have nothing to do this Sunday.  No matter the reason, Costco can totally help you out with tickets to the big game.  But you have to be quick because today, February 3, 2012, is the very last day to pick up their Super Bowl XLVI ticket and pre-game party package at Costco.com.  I’m amazed that you can order this late since the game is this Sunday (February 5, 2012).  But I guess that is the beauty of the Internet, huh?

Get your Super Bowl Ticket at Costco.com

Initially, Costco.com had three different packages available for tickets to this year’s Super Bowl.  However, the more expensive packages have both sold out, believe it or not.  The most expensive package was a whopping $15,499.99 for a pair of 300-400 Level Goal-to-End Zone tickets.  Of course, you did get a lot more for your money than just the two tickets, including: 5 days/4 nights accommodation at the Comfort Suites Hotel, access to a pre-game party, something called the Taste of the NFL, and game day transportation.  The next most expensive package had a pretty hefty price tag too, at $9,999.99.  For that price you got a pair of Upper-level End Zone tickets, along with all of the other stuff in the previous package.  But both of those packages are completely sold out now.  However, if you’re still in the market, you can buy a single Upper Level End Zone ticket package for $2,999.99.  For that price you might think you would get accommodation, but you don’t, all you get is your ONE ticket and access to the pre-game party.

So, if you want to buy this ticket package, you need to visit Costco.com today.  Like, right now!  On Costco.com they say that within 3 – 5 business days from placing your order you will receive a “Welcome Package” via FedEx outlining the details of the package with agenda and important contacts.  However, I’m guessing that they have some other plan in mind for people who order today since you only have a day before the game really.  I guess they could send your Welcome Package via FedEx next day delivery.  Otherwise there aren’t many options.  That package doesn’t actually contain your ticket though.  You must attend the Pre-Game Party to pick up your ticket in person.  And what else can you expect from the Pre-Game Party?  Aside from actually getting your hand on your newly purchased ticket, you can expect:

  • Guest speaker Archie Manning on hand
  • Celebrity chef Paula Deen on hand performing cooking demonstrations and mingling with crowd
  • AFC Championship Lamar Hunt trophy and Super Bowl Champions Vince Lombardi trophy will be on display
  • Background performances by Cirque du Soleil
  • Full premium bar
  • Passed hot and cold hors d’oeuvres
  • Variety of hot/cold food stations and entrees
  • Pre-game coverage on multiple large screen televisions
  • Lounge atmosphere with soft leather furniture
  • Host venue Indiana State Museum located 4 blocks from Stadium

So, that’s a pretty cool party, right?  I think you could enjoy yourself at something like that and hopefully put it out of your mind what you paid and just enjoy the really great party atmosphere at a live NFL game, especially one like the Super Bowl.  So, if you’ve sprung for your Super Bowl XLVI tickets from Costco.com (or someplace else), I hope you enjoy the game and that your preferred team wins.  Have a cup of hot chocolate for me!

Why would I want to go to the Super Bowl in person? How would I see the commercials? 😉
