Costco UK Coupon Book: March 19 – April 7, 2012

March 20th, 2012 · 3 Comments

The new Costco UK coupon book started yesterday, 19 March, and runs through 7 April; through Easter weekend (well, the Saturday because they are closed on Easter Sunday).  This coupon book has £950.00 worth of coupons, which is about £400.00 more than last month.  It looks like there is a good variety of products this time.  It doesn’t seem to be predominantly cleaning supplies or food or anything.  If anything, it might lean towards being household item oriented.  There are some good coupons though.

Costco UK Coupon Book: March 19 - April 7, 2012

I’ve uploaded the latest Costco UK Coupon Book PDF (or view it in the Google PDF viewer) so you can browse it if you haven’t gotten yours yet.  If you didn’t get your book or never do, you should stop by Customer Service and make sure that they have all of your mailing information correct and that you have allowed them permission to send you things in the mail.  Also, while you’re there, ask them for a copy of the latest book if they didn’t hand you one when you walked in the store.  In the UK they print the coupons on both sides of the pages and without the codes, so they clearly do not want you to clip the coupons out and give them to your cashier; they just automatically deduct them after they ring up your items. I still find it useful to have a copy so I know what to look for because I don’t always notice the signs that they’ve posted to let you know what has a coupon.  I usually download a copy of the PDF I post to my iPhone before I go to the store so that I can easily reference it while shopping.

As I mentioned, there’s a nice variety of different with coupons products this month.  There are some big household items though.  Such as the Sealy & Rest Assured bed and mattress kiosk for 20%.  This is pretty much everything you need to have a nice new bed.  The kiosk is great because it has the built in drawers for that extra storage that is always needed.  It looks like it has two big drawers and two smaller drawers, but they are all the same deep depth.  And the Sealy mattress looks very soft and comfortable (from the picture in the coupon book) because it has the nice pillow top.  They don’t say what size or sizes are available in the coupon, but the one pictured is definitely a double.  And hey, if you getting the new bed, you might want to get the Snuggledown Memory pillow for £8.98 (after £2.50 coupon with VAT) too.  I’m not positive but I think that is for a single pillow.  Both of those coupons have a max purchase of five.

There are a smattering of electronics coupons this month too.  There are three different TV coupons (from £30 – £80 off).  There are two laptops with coupons this month (£30 and £80 off).  Two camera coupons, one for a JVC HD camcorder (£30.00) and one of a Panasonic FX90 camera with SD card (£20.00 off).  There’s also a coupon for a Panasonic Blu-Ray player that is just £59.98 (with VAT) after the £10.00 off coupon.  And to round things out, there’s a £20.00 off coupon for a Tom Tom GoLive 820 GPS system with carrying case; final price of £149.98 (with VAT).

I really like the porcelain bowls with acacia stands that have a coupon this month.  You get a two pack of good sized white porcelain bowls with these cool acacia wood stands.  I’m not sure what I would do with them but I’m really drawn to them.  The coupon is for £2.00 off, which leaves them with a final price of £11.98 (with VAT).  I will have to figure out some way to justify purchasing these perhaps.  LOL

I’m also contemplating the Greenway Airer for £20.38 (with VAT) after the £3.00 off coupon.  I find that my washer and dryer combination isn’t super at completely drying my clothes; it’s just too humid in there I swear.  Plus, there’s always lots of things that you don’t want to dry at all in the dryer, or don’t want to fully dry in the dryer in any case.  And right now, I’ve got nothing to do with all of that stuff but try to find various places around the house to put all of that stuff to dry.  It would be much better to have something like this that has tons of space – 40 foot/12 metres – of drying space.  Since it is lightweight, adjustable, portable and folds flat, it seems like just what I’ve been looking for.

There’s a coupon for £2.50 off a two pack of Misto oil sprayers this month.  I had one of these a few years ago (that shockingly I don’t think I bought at Costco) and I hated it.  It seemed like a really good idea, but in practice left a lot to be desired.  It seemed like it never wanted to spray the oil very well and proved to be more hassle than it was worth.  But maybe in the last few years they have improved the design.

@Jane – I always anxiously await the new coupon books too. I am even excited to see the US coupon book & I don’t even live there anymore. 😀
