The latest Costco UK coupon book started yesterday (21 May) and runs through 10 June. Sorry I didn’t get this up yesterday but hopefully that wasn’t a problem for anyone. This coupon book has £700.00 in savings, but doesn’t seem to have as many coupons that I’m excited by, but there are still a few good ones. And maybe the things that I don’t buy are what the rest of you have been waiting for.
I’ve uploaded the latest Costco UK Coupon Book PDF (or view it in the Google PDF viewer) so you can browse it if you haven’t gotten yours yet. If you didn’t get your book or never do, you should stop by Customer Service and make sure that they have all of your mailing information correct and that you have allowed them permission to send you things in the mail. Also, while you’re there, ask them for a copy of the latest book if they didn’t hand you one when you walked in the store. In the UK they print the coupons on both sides of the pages and without the codes, so they clearly do not want you to clip the coupons out and give them to your cashier; they just automatically deduct them after they ring up your items. I still find it useful to have a copy so I know what to look for because I don’t always notice the signs that they’ve posted to let you know what has a coupon. I usually download a copy of the PDF I post to my iPhone before I go to the store so that I can easily reference it while shopping.
Even though most of the coupons make me go “meh”, there are some that I wanted to highlight. There’s a coupon for £5.00 off a Gallery Soho Mirror (43″x31″ or 109 cm x 78 cm) that is a bit of savings on Costco’s already great price. The mirror is normally £24.99 but the £5.00 off makes it just £19.99 or £23.98 with VAT. And even without the coupon this is a great deal on these mirrors. I have two of the taller, thinner version and they are really nice. They have the really nice beveled mirror frame that gives them a sleek and expensive look. Plus, the back is covered in a velveteen fabric to keep it from scratching the walls or sliding around. Similar mirrors are about three times this price, at the cheapest, and more likely four times as much if you purchased them at any of the other major retailers. I’m actually trying to decide if I should pick up one or two for my guest room.
While that mirror is my favourite coupon this month, there are a couple of others that have also caught my attention. There is a coupon for £2.40 off a 4, 15 wipe packs of Dettol Floor wipes; final price £5.98 with VAT. I love these floor wipes because they are so convenient for my bathroom and kitchen floors. Since I don’t have huge amounts of tiled flooring in my flat, nor a lot of storage space for things like a mop and bucket, these are my preferred floor cleaning tool. I wouldn’t want to have to use these for a very big floor area, but in those cases I guess they could still be useful for cleaning up spills and things like that perhaps.
The other coupon that I am interested in this month is the one for San Pellegrino sparkling flavoured water. You can get £2.00 off a 24 can pack with a final price of £8.38 with VAT. Normally we just buy the plain sparkling water but sometimes it is nice to have a little citrusy flavour to your water. Usually at home I have to mix my own juice and water drinks, but this way I don’t have to keep juice on hand and taking up space in my little tiny fridge. At Costco you can get your 24 pack in four flavours, blood orange, grapefruit, lemon and orange. The orange and lemon flavours are in a mixed pack (split evenly or 12 cans of each flavour, I believe) and then the blood orange and grapefruit are just 24 cans of each flavour in their packs. The blood orange and grapefruit both sound good to me and are a bit of a change from the regular juice flavours that I concoct at home.
