[Since I don’t have kids, I thought it was great when the team at Organic Baby Nook offered to write a guest post about some of the organic products that you can buy at Costco for your baby.  Tom Demers is the author of the guest post and a contributor to Organic Baby Nook. Organic Baby Products at Costco

As with most food retailers, Costco is joining the ranks of stores that are now carrying organic baby products. While they do not have many yet, their lineup is expected to increase in the coming months and years. Most of their products include mattresses, but there are also a few food products that parents can buy for their children. These are the best organic baby products that Costco is now carrying, and all of them are at a fair price.

Similac Advance Organic 3-pack

Similac Advance Organic 3-Pack Formula

This is a great product for anyone who needs a lot of formula for their child. Each pack is 34 ounces, so you get over 100 ounces of formula. According to the label, each pack makes about 61 bottles, so this product alone will make up to 183 bottles, which is going to last you a long time.

The overall price is about $90 according to their website, which breaks down to about $0.50 per bottle. Similac is known for quality, and their organic line is great if you only want your child having the best ingredients and products.

The Similac organic formula has at least 95 percent organic ingredients, as is legally specified for any product calling itself organic, and it wears the USDA seal. Babies seem to love this stuff, and many mothers call it the best alternative to breast milk.

L.A. Baby Organic Cocoon Changing Pad Set

L.A. Baby Organic Cocoon Changing Pad

This is a great organic alternative to normal changing pads and changing tables. This cocoon style pad comes with a 100 percent cotton inside and terry cover. There are also many safety precautions added that ensure the baby’s safety while he or she is being changed.

There is a safety belt that is made to secure the pad to any generic changing table. Another belt can also be used to keep the baby in place, so there is no chance of your baby rolling and falling off the changing pad. The belt is quick-release, so you can easily secure and remove your baby without any hassle.

The pad itself does not have any inorganic ingredients. It is also not made from harmful ingredients like lead, phthalates or polyurethane foam. It is made from cotton, which is one of the best products for your child.

The entire pad and set are about 4 pounds, and the changing pad is 32 inches long and 16 inches wide, which should be enough to fit most children. The covers are also waterproof and easy to wash, which makes it very easy to use and clean the pad.

L.A. Baby Organic Cotton 2-in-1 Orthopedic Mattress

L.A. Baby Organic Cotton 2-in-1 Orthopedic Mattress

This is a two-sided mattress that fits into most cribs. Both the outside and inside of the mattress are made with 100 percent organic cotton, and there are thick steel coils within the mattress to support your baby.

Some parents love this mattress, while others are a little unsure about it. The L.A. Baby mattress is very firm. Some parents feel the mattress is too firm and say that their child has a hard time sleeping on it. Others say their children love it. Many sleep experts say that firm surfaces are better for children, but it really matters on your child’s preferences.

According to the majority of reviews, most children and parents love this mattress, despite it being very firm.

There are two sides to this mattress. One is made to be somewhat softer and more comfortable, but this side is not waterproof. The other side has an organic finishing that makes the mattress waterproof, but it is slightly firmer on this side.

Conclusion

Costco has finally joined the ranks of stores selling organic baby products. While they do not have the largest selection yet, their lineup is expected to increase if the products turn out to be popular. If you have a Costco card, then it may be in your best interest to check out your nearest store and see everything they have to offer.

Whether you need a new mattress or a huge amount of formula, Costco has everything you need. Support the organic movement by buying some great organic products, and ensure your child has the best products that nature can provide.
