Costco UK Coupon Book: July 2 – 22, 2012

July 2nd, 2012 · 7 Comments

The latest Costco UK coupon book starts today, 2 July, and runs through 22 July.  So, that means you’ve got right around 3 weeks to use your coupons this month.  This coupon book has £65000 in savings, which is a few hundred less than last month’s coupon book.  There seems to be a lot of food and beverage coupons this month, with far fewer housewares and electronics coupons than in previous months.

Costco UK Coupon Book: July 2 - 22, 2012

I’ve uploaded the latest Costco UK Coupon Book PDF (or view it in the Google PDF viewer) so you can browse it if you haven’t gotten yours yet.  If you didn’t get your book or never do, you should stop by Customer Service and make sure that they have all of your mailing information correct and that you have allowed them permission to send you things in the mail.  Also, while you’re there, ask them for a copy of the latest book if they didn’t hand you one when you walked in the store.  In the UK they print the coupons on both sides of the pages and without the codes, so they clearly do not want you to clip the coupons out and give them to your cashier; they just automatically deduct them after they ring up your items. I still find it useful to have a copy so I know what to look for because I don’t always notice the signs that they’ve posted to let you know what has a coupon.  I usually download a copy of the PDF I post to my iPhone before I go to the store so that I can easily reference it while shopping.

If you’re a parent to a baby, you might be pleased to see that this month there are coupons for both baby wipes and diapers.  First, there’s a great 3 for 2 coupon for Huggies Baby Wipes, 6 packages of 64 wipes.  With the coupon you’ll end up paying £11.97 (with VAT) after a £4.99 discount.   The other coupon is for Huggies Nappies Gigapack in five different sizes (3, 4, 4+, 5, and 6) and quantities that depend on what size you need (114- 192 nappies).  This coupon allows you to by two of the big boxes of nappies for £32.00, which equates to a savings of £5.98.  If your kids are a bit older, you might be interested in the Letts learning books assortment.  You can save £2.00 of any of the packs that cover a variety of subjects and testing needs.  The post-discount prices depend on the book pack that you get, but range from £4.99  – £10.99.

There are lots of great cleaning supplies on coupon this month.  But most of them seem to be laundry products.  There are five different laundry coupons with all the brands covered: Persil (40% off), Lenor (£2.50 off), Bold (£3.50 off), Daz (30% off), and Vanish (£2.20 off).  So, according to Costco, there is no excuse for not having sparkling clean, fresh as a daisy clothing this summer.  Oh yes, and if that didn’t convince you, there’s also a coupon for £7.00 off a Brabantia ironing board (final price £43.18 with VAT).

As I mentioned there seems to be a preponderance of food and beverage coupons in this current version of the Costco UK coupon book.  It turns out that 38 out of 70 coupons this month are for food or beverages, including alcohol, wine, or beer.   These coupons cover a pretty wide range of products from snacks to cereal, soda to Gatorade, cheese, beef, fish and yogurt.  The coupon I was happy to see, though it isn’t for that much off, is for Thai Jasmine Rice.  It’s only £1.30 off, for a final price of £10.49, but since I just noticed last night that we are almost out of our current supply this was just super timely.

Hey Tim! I just saw your post here. I heard that Costco finally had planning permission to go ahead & build! Still no idea when it’s going to happen though :( Hope they build it soon – I really hate having to go to Reading!

That’s strange – Rushmoor Council doesn’t seem to allow links to actual documents – it worked for a few hours then disappeared. All the document says is that the variation (small change to store layout, a handful fewer parking spaces) is approved. Costco have three years to build (if they want to take that long).

@Tim – I wasn’t able to get the document. But hopefully I can find other news about the Farnborough location actually moving ahead.

Farnborough Costco have finally been given permission for their variation to planning consent. Still only outline planning permission thoguh.

Hopefully this will meant that they’ll now get a move on and get it built!
