The new Costco US coupon book runs from this coming Thursday, July 12, through the first week of August to August 5, 2012. This month there are coupons worth more than $1,700.00 in discounts, and then another $5,800.00 in online deals at Costco.com. The value of the coupon book is roughly the same as last month. There are some items that I really like in this coupon book, but overall I’m not as impressed as I’ve been with some of the recent book. But still, there are a few gems in here.
I’ve uploaded the new Costco US Coupon Book PDF (or view it in the Google PDF viewer) so you can browse it if you haven’t gotten yours yet. While you can print these out for reference purposes, Costco only accepts the original coupons (if your location requires you to hand them in). If you didn’t get your book or never do, you should stop by Customer Service and make sure that they have all of your mailing information correct and that you have allowed them permission to send you things in the mail. Also, while you’re there, ask them for a copy of the latest book. If you were not aware, the coupon books are only mailed to the primary member on the account.
First things first, the usual tire coupon is for $70.00 off a set of Bridgestone tires this month. But wait, there’s more! You also get $30.00 off of installation for your shiny new set of Bridgestone tires; that makes installation just $26.00. So make your car safe for any upcoming Summer road trip plans and get a new set of tires.
There are 4 or 5 instant coupons that I would definitely take advantage of this month. I think it is great that Costco US seems to be getting more and more instant savings deals each month so that you don’t have to worry about having your coupon book or cutting out the actual coupons to be able to take advantage of the savings. In any case, the first instant coupon is not necessarily something I would buy, but is great if you need it: 3TB FreeAgent GoFlex Seagate External Hard Drive for $20.00 off. How amazing is it that you can get a 3 terabyte external drive? Am I the only person here that remembers when your computer was huge and had less storage space than a calculator probably has now? This would be great if you have a lot of data to store and don’t want to keep it on your regular machine, or for doing regular backups of your notebook computers too.
The other instant coupons I like are actually things I would be buying if I were in the US right now. This month you can get $1.50 off the 24 cookie pack of Kirkland Signature Chocolate Chunk Cookies. I love these, Dave loves these, and they’re never going to go bad in our house. Along with the cookies, I would also pick up the case of Pellegrino Mineral Water for $3.00 off 12, 25.3 ounce bottles. I love to have the mineral water to jazz up my juice drinks, especially with the Langers Mango Nectar. I would also pick up some beef jerky with the coupon for $3.50 off the Oberto or Pacific Gold jerky. This is great for hikes and Dave and I always have some in the house during the months that we go hiking. In addition to all of that stuff, I would also be using the instant savings on the Vita Coco Coconut Water for $5.00 off 6, 1 liter containers. Coconut water is supposed to be the new wonder drink packed with lots of electrolytes and good stuff, all great for post-workout rehydration, so I’d definitely try it out given the coupon.
In the regular, clipping necessary coupons, there are also a couple of things that I really like. Tops amongst them is the Haagen-Dazs ice cream bars. You can get $3.00 off a 15 ice cream bar box of their Vanilla Milk Chocolate Almond bars. And they are like a little piece of ice cream heaven. I don’t even like ice cream all that much but I really like these and we always bought them when there were coupons. There are also coupons for the standard and necessary household items for laundry detergent, toilet paper, and paper towels. I really like the All Free and Clear laundry detergent, and would certainly pick up at least one bottle with this coupon: $2.50 off 185 ounce jug of either the Free & Clear or Sainlifter. You can get $2.00 off Bounty paper towels and Charmin toilet paper too. The other coupon I like is the one for $3.00 off the Swiffers – wet, dry, dusting or starter kit. I might have to have my mom go get some of these for me because Swiffers are crazy expensive here in the UK, so I have to use other things for my dusting needs and nothing is really as good as picking up dust and not just pushing it around. The last normal coupon that I like is for Oral-B Toothbrushes. You can get $4.00 off a pack of 8 of my favorite toothbrushes ever, the Oral-B Advantage CrissCross. No other toothbrush compares. Your teeth and dentist will love you if you get a pack of these because they clean your teeth so well. These combined with the Oral-B Pro Expert toothpaste and you will feel like you just got your teeth cleaned every day.
While there’s nothing that stands out as being a super great deal this month, there are a lot of coupons for a variety of items that are good buys.
