Photo T-Shirts from Costco Photo Center

September 11th, 2012 · 3 Comments

If you have used the Costco Photo Center before, then you know that they have a thousand different ways to present your photos.  You can get the photo of your choice on everything from coffee mugs to calendars to mouse pads to throws to stationery.  And now, they’ve added a new way to show off your favourite photos: on t-shirts.  I think that is such a fun idea for parties, gifts or just to make a personalized t-shirt with your own photos.

Select an image from an existing album or upload a new one.

Creating your own photo t-shirt is quite easy and takes just a few steps.  Uploading  a photo from your computer is pretty easy, since all you have to do is make a few mouse clicks.  It does help to know the directory on your computer where your photos are located, and if you have a specific one in mind, then you want to make sure you know the name of it or it could take you a while to look through all of your pictures to find the right one.  Alternatively, if you already have an album of photos on the Costco Photo Center site, then you just have to select the one that you want on a t-shirt.  After you have selected the photo that you want to appear on your t-shirt, you see an image of what your photo will look like on the white 100% cotton t-shirts available from Costco.  At this point you’ll also get a few editing options, like correcting red-eye or rotating the image.  After that you hit the ‘continue’ button and see the image of your t-shirt and your purchasing options.

Choose how many t-shirts you want and the size and you’re ready for checkout.

You can only get white t-shirts right now (but it would be nice if they would at least offer a black option too) but you can choose from adult S-M-L-XL sizes, as well as youth S-M-L sizes.  Adult t-shirts are $12.99 and youth sizes are $11.99; shipping and handling is free unless you want expedited shipping.  After you choose the sizes, you can add it to the the cart and you are good to go!  It’s really that easy; just two quick steps.

Granted, there aren’t many options available, however, this is a great way to mark a big birthday or a bachelorette party.  And don’t forget that you can add text to your image before you upload it as well, since Costco doesn’t offer an option for any text or messaging on the t-shirts.  Or, you could add that after you receive the t-shirts in the mail.  It’s a great way to commemorate an event or make a really personalized gift for someone.

Unfortunately, it seems that the photo t-shirts are only available to Costco members in the US because the other Costco Photo Centers in places like the UK or Canada, don’t offer this option.

I’ve not ordered them, so I can’t speak to that. I was really hoping that someone on here would have tried them and let us all know what they are like.

    Dear Addicted:

I do like Costco “T” shirts. I used to pay $12.99 (FOR SIX). Now there about $20 plus tax. That’s about $3.33 apiece!

Where is your Costco? Mine is in Culver City, California But they say Marina del Rey and it’s NOT!
