Spice up your Super Bowl Snacks with Frank’s RedHot Sauce at Costco

January 30th, 2013 · 3 Comments

Just in time for the upcoming Super Bowl weekend, Costco and Frank’s RedHot Sauce are teaming up.  Starting on Thursday (January 31) there will be demos of Frank’s at 240+ Costco locations across the country through Saturday (February 2).  Plus, the four pound platter of mesquite wings from Costco will come with 12 ounce cups of Frank’s RedHot sauce for dipping.  The two pound wing platter from Costco will be tossed with Frank’s RedHot sauce as well.  So, lots of spicy wings for the perfect game day treat!  Unfortunately, Frank’s RedHot wings will only be available at 50 different Costco locations, but hopefully one is nearby you. The link is to a PDF so that you can see if you’ll be able to buy Frank’s RedHot wings at a Costco near you.

Frank’s RedHot Demo at Costco

The Frank’s RedHot Sauce demo will be showcasing just one of the many recipes that are made all the better for a dash or two of hot sauce.  At Costco you can try out Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Chicken Dip.  Sounds totally delicious, huh?  If you want to get a big bottle and make it yourself, here’s the recipe:

INGREDIENTS:
8  oz. pkg. cream cheese
1/2  cup blue cheese or ranch salad dressing
1/2  cup FRANK’S® REDHOT® Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce or FRANK’S® REDHOT® Buffalo Wing Sauce
1/2  cup crumbled blue cheese or shredded mozzarella cheese
2  cups shredded cooked chicken

DIRECTIONS:
1.  HEAT oven to 350°F. Place cream cheese into deep dish 9-inch pie plate. Microwave 1 min. to soften.
2.  WHISK in salad dressing, Frank’s RedHot Sauce and cheese until smooth. Stir in chicken.
3.  BAKE 20 min. or until mixture is heated through; stir. Garnish as desired. Serve with crackers or vegetables.

Microwave Directions: Prepare as above. Microwave, uncovered, on HIGH 5 min. until hot, stirring halfway through cooking.
Tip: For a party buffet table, keep this dip hot in a small crock pot or fondue pot.

And once you’ve tried this, and are hooked, you can try some of their other recipes from their website.  They have 14 pages of recipes, so surely you will be able to find something that is just right for you!

Also, aside from the in-store demos, Frank’s RedHot sauce is available at over 300 US Costco locations across the country;  it is sold as a two pack for $5.69.

Dave and I are big fans of the hot and spicy stuff, so I know that we would be picking up a bottle of this, this weekend if we were back in Austin (it’ll be available there!), especially after we tried out the dip in the store.  I wonder if I can find a bottle of Frank’s RedHot Sauce here in Sydney?  The Super Bowl is going to be kind of weird for us this year since it will actually be shown here on Monday afternoon (darn time difference of 17 hours).   Yup, nothing says Super Bowl party like a Monday afternoon, huh?

And.. I just re-read that the list is locations with wings, not sauce. I think I got distracted by the recipe and lost my reading comprehension ability :)

Not sure about the accuracy of the list of locations that carry Frank’s. We’ve had it continuously since our store opened in Pottstown PA in 2011.
