If you love all things Costco and are always looking for more reviews, news, and stories talking about your favourite store, then you are sure to enjoy this blog: Grandma Fifi: A Granny Blog About Costco. Okay, her name really isn’t Fifi, it is Jeanne, but she is a real life grandma and really seems to love Costco as much as we all do. Jeanne has been a Costco member since 2000 and shops primarily at the Costco location in Nashville. Of course, she also shops often at the Costco stores in Brentwood, Tennessee, Spartanburg, South Carolina, Charleston, South Carolina, Royal Oak, Michigan, and even Brooklyn, New York.
I really enjoy reading Jeanne’s blog because she writes in a nice conversational tone, much like I do (at least I hope it comes across that way). It’s easy to read and she’s got a nice sense of humour that makes her blog really fun, but still informative. She’s fairly new to blogging, starting her blog in February 2012, and has kept up a very steady stream of posts since then, covering topics from toys to food to plants to household items. I feel like she’s my kind of people because she buys all kinds of stuff at Costco and gives everything a try; I can clearly relate to that kind of Costco shopping . Here’s what she had to say about shopping at Costco:
I try to buy everything at Costco; that’s not completely possible, but almost. It’s gotten to the point that the packages in the grocery store look like they’re doll-sized. I love the food, the sheets and towels, the plants, the craft supplies; every time I think I’ve found a better buy someplace else, I eventually figure out I’m wrong.
I am positive that all of us Costco lovers can certainly relate to that sentiment! And I am certain that everyone will enjoy Grandma Fifi’s blog. How can you not love a lady who has a whole post about bacon? She wrote a post last week about the truly awesome Kirkland Signature Hormel Cooked Bacon, which is great for those of us that love bacon, but want it to not be so messy to cook, and like it to be really crispy. It’s always amazed me that in the land of Bacon (aka, the UK), they don’t have this bacony goodness at Costco. Of course, maybe they don’t have space for it, what with the 10 different kinds of bacon that they do currently stock. Seriously, I’ve never seen so many different types and styles of bacon. But I digress.
