I’m sorry but I am a bit late getting these posted, about a week late actually. However, better late than never perhaps. The latest Costco Taiwan Coupon Book started last week on Friday, August 30 and runs through October 27, 2013. In total there are 92 coupons for you to take advantage of over the next two months. You can view and download a copy of this latest Costco Taiwan coupon book from their nicely updated website. I had a problem downloading the full PDF but I think that’s more of a language problem than a technical problem with the site.
The coupon books in Taiwan are a little different than most of the other locations because it actually covers two months, though the coupons are separated into one week-ish periods. So there are coupons for each week or so of the coupon books validity dates. The good thing is that the first group of coupons run through this Sunday, September 8, so you haven’t missed out on any savings yet. The second group of coupons start today, September 6, and run through September 15. I like that they have two sets of the coupons that overlap each other. That makes for more efficient coupon shopping.
There are, as you can imagine, lots of great coupons every week. I find it an interesting mix of things that I’d see at my local Costco in the UK or US, and things that are clearly Asia-only items. But no matter, there are excellent deals in food and cleaning supplies, health and beauty products, as well as a variety of household items. I will say that there seem to be a lot of meat and fish coupons, with one or more (mostly more) each week it seems. The biggest coupon selection for meat and fish comes in group of coupons for September 13 – 22, where eight of the coupons fall into this category. I’m guessing this is because there’s some sort of harvest festival celebration around this time, much like Chuseok in Korea. I was a little amazed/impressed too see there’s even a coupon for a German Pork Knuckle (October 4 – 13)!
I also noticed that there is a coupon for Costco’s excellent take and bake pizzas. You can get an 18″ seafood, Hawaiian, or combo pizza for NT$30.00 off (I assume this is off, and not the price since it is equivalent to roughly US$1.00). I wonder what is on the seafood pizza because I’m pretty sure we don’t have that one here. There’s also a coupon for the really yummy Costco muffins. They have a 12 muffin variety pack for NT$25.00 off during the period of September 20 – 29. Though all of the muffin flavours are great, I think I like the chocolate ones the best. I also like the look of the 24 pack of Melona ice bars in either mango or melon flavour (September 13 – 22) for NT$60.00 off. I’m sure this is because I am drawn to anything mango.
The most interesting coupon is for a folding bike! From October 11 – 20, you can save NT$1,000.00 on a Ventura 20″ 6 speed city 3 folding bike. I have never ridden a folding bike but I think they seem like such a great idea. We know a few people who have them here in London and they seem to really like them.
