This new coupon book gets Costco UK back on their regular schedule for starting their coupons on Mondays. This new coupon book lasts for three weeks, until February 2. This new coupon book has savings of £850.00 in it, which is clearly way more than the little tiny book that they started the year with. There seem to be a number of coupons for household items everything from rugs to kettles. And of course, there is the obligatory new year bunch of savings for exercise equipment. But there are plenty of other good coupons too for the usual mix of items.
I’ve uploaded the new Costco UK Coupon Book PDF (or view it in the Google PDF viewer). If you didn’t get your book or never do, you should stop by Customer Service and make sure that they have all of your mailing information correct and that you have allowed them permission to send you things in the mail. Also, while you’re there, ask them for a copy of the latest book if they didn’t hand you one when you walked in the store. In the UK they print the coupons on both sides of the pages and without the codes, clearly they do not require you to clip the coupons out and give them to your cashier; they just automatically deduct them after they ring up your items. I love this method of couponing and I’m glad to see that it seems all Costco locations in the world are following suit. I do still find it useful to have a copy so I know what to look for because I don’t always notice the signs that they’ve posted to let you know what has a coupon. I usually download a copy of the PDF to my phone before I go to the store so that I can easily reference it while shopping. If you sign up to receive emails from Costco.co.uk, they will send out an email that lets you know that the new coupon book is available online, usually the weekend before the new book starts. Since they now post the coupons on the Costco UK website, you can always download a copy of the latest coupon book from there; you can also find a link to it on the Warehouses Offers webpage (but you won’t see the new coupon book until it is active).
If you’ve got a baby or a toddler, I’m sure you’ll be glad to see the coupons for wipes and toddler milk. You can buy two, 900 gram canisters of SMA Toddler Milk for £13.00; that’s a savings of £4.58. And if you use this often, you’ll be thrilled that you can get up to 20 canisters of this by using the deal 10 times. Also, you can buy three for the price of two, as in buy two get one free, on Huggies Pure Baby Wipes. The Huggies Pure Baby Wipes come in a bundle of 6 packets of 64 wipes, so you get 384 wipes in total in each packet. So, to take advantage of this deal you need to get 18 packets and 6,912 total wipes for £11.97 with VAT after a savings of £4.99.
At the front of the coupon book, you’ll see that Costco has a good bunch of coupons for pork, beef, and lamb. There’s a coupon for £3.00 off a boneless lamb shoulder or £3.00 off a leg of pork. There’s also a £5.00 off coupon for a whole roasting joint. But my favourite coupon is for £1.00 off a Kirkland Signature rotisserie chicken; that makes each chicken just £3.58. These rotisserie chickens are delicious and make the ones you get from the other supermarkets and places look like they’re not even big enough to be an actual chicken. We get one every time we go to Costco for the perfect post-shopping lunch. This time I might even buy an extra one for the next day.
The most interesting bunch of coupons is for things you might need for mailing packages, but surely this would have been better before the holidays. You can save 15% off Flexocare Bubble Wrap (final price of £7.84 with VAT) or Brown Packaging Paper (final price of £5.08 with VAT). You can also save 25% on Scotch tape and scissors: six rolls of Packaging Tape for £4.30 with VAT, eight rolls of Transparent Tape £5.66 with VAT, and a three pack of Precision Scissors for £6.92. To be fair, I might actually take advantage of the savings on scissors. For some reason, I always feel like I’m searching for a pair of scissors and they are always on the other floor of our flat. If you’ve decided that you are going to get organized this year, Costco has a good deal on the Brother PT-1000 Labelling Machine for £2.75. With that discount you’ll pay just £7.48 with VAT. I have one of these and love it. I label all of my storage stuff and pretty much anything in a box. It has made our organization of our storage area so much easier to deal with. Plus, these labels are perfect for file folders too. I’ve also used it to make shipping labels. It’s quite easy to learn to use and is much neater and easier to read than most handwriting. I would certainly suggest this to anyone that is big on organizing.
There are plenty of good coupons in this new book, so make sure you take a good look through it before you plan your next Costco trip!
