Costco UK Coupon Book: May 19 – June 8, 2014

May 17th, 2014 · No Comments

The new Costco UK coupon book starts on Monday, May 19, and runs through the first week of June, June 8.  This new coupon book has savings of just £800.00 in it, which is more than twice as much as the last coupon book offered.   Dave’s favourite sweet snack, M&Ms, have a coupon this time, so I know we’ll be getting those for sure.  Maybe it is just because I haven’t eaten breakfast yet, but there seem to be lots of tempting snacks and sweets this month.  There are some great deals for World Cup preparation too, like new televisions, beer and snacks.

I’ve uploaded the new Costco UK Coupon Book PDF (or view it in the Google PDF viewer).  If you didn’t get your book or never do, you should stop by Customer Service and make sure that they have all of your mailing information correct and that you have allowed them permission to send you things in the mail.  Also, while you’re there, ask them for a copy of the latest book if they didn’t hand you one when you walked in the store.  In the UK they print the coupons on both sides of the pages and without the codes and they just automatically deduct them after they ring up your items.  I love this method of couponing and I’m glad to see that it seems all Costco locations in the world are following suit.  I do still find it useful to have a copy so I know what to look for because I don’t always notice the signs that they’ve posted to let you know what has a coupon.  Of course, they often hand you a copy of the coupon book when you walk in the store or have them sitting there so you can grab one at you enter. I usually download a copy of the PDF to my phone before I go to the store so that I can easily reference it while shopping.  If you sign up to receive emails from Costco.co.uk, they will send out an email that lets you know that the new coupon book is available online, usually the weekend before the new book starts.  Since they now post the coupons on the Costco UK website, you can always download a copy of the latest coupon book from there; you can also find a link to it on the Warehouses Offers webpage.

There’s a four coupon feature for Samsung televisions and speakers in the book this month.  There are two LED televisions, one 60″ and one 48″, amongst the four items highlighted, each with a £100.00 savings this month.  So, if you’ve been thinking it might be the perfect time to upgrade your television, you know right before the World Cup starts, then you should definitely check out the options at Costco. These are the fancy Smart LED TVs with all kinds of nifty features, so they’re not a low priced option.  And if Samsung isn’t your brand of choice, there’s also a deal for £200.00 off a 65″ Sony Smart TV, also not inexpensive, but probably a good buy at Costco.  If none of those are in your budget, or brands that you like, there are always plenty of options to be found at Costco.co.uk.  In the special online-only section of this booklet, they also point out a super deal on a 1080p projector that even comes with a 92″ screen.  Since the World Cup is just a few weeks away, you want to make sure you’re all prepared.

I know that no matter how hard I try to steer him away from them, Dave will be all over the deal for 25% off the giant 1 kilogram bag of peanut M&Ms.  With the 25% off the big bag of M&Ms is just £4.86 with VAT, which is way way better than any deal I’ve seen at other retailers here.  If you can find them for £1.00 for the 165 gram bag, that is a big savings, because they are normally around £2.00 for that size.  I’m sure you can all do the math there and realize pretty easily that you’re saving a huge amount of money at Costco.  Even without the 25% off, Costco is always the better cost option for M&Ms.

I always try to point out when there is a deal for razors and/or razor blades because they can be so expensive to buy when they’re not on sale, but something most of us use all the time.  This month there’s a coupon for £5.00 off a 10 pack of Gillette Mach 3 Disposables for men; final price of £11.47 with VAT.  And, you can also get £5.00 off a Venus and Olay Sugarberry (whatever the heck that is) set of one handle and 10 blades; final price of £23.98 with VAT.  We only buy razors and blades at Costco because their prices are always so much better than everywhere else.  The 10 pack of Mach 3 disposables is a very good deal because every other retailer seems to sell a 3 pack for £7.00 or £2.33 per razor.  However, at Costco you’ll only pay £1.11 per razor.  You can buy twice as many at Costco for the price at other stores.  Usually the Venus and Olay handle with a single blade will be nearly £6.00 at most stores.  And, just three replacement blades will usually be around £10.00, or £3.33 per blade.  So, for the 10 blades at Costco you would pay around £33.33 at any other store!  And that is without the handle even.  Yikes!  So, you can see why we always pick up our shaving items at Costco.

If you’re still doing a little beautification on your yard, you’ll probably be thrilled to see the deal for 20% or £2.40 off of Resolva week killer.  You can get a 5 litre jug of Resolva 24 Hour Weed Killer or Path and Patio Week Killer.  After the discount the weed killer is £11.50 with VAT.   After you kill all of the weeds, you can then use the Karcher K5 Pressure Washer to get your house, paths, and patio or deck, sparkling clean for the summer.  You can save £40.00 off the Karcher pressure washer for a final price of £263.98 with VAT.  It comes with the accessories you need to clean your cars and house too, so you will have no excuse not to have everything clean.  Of course, that might be reason enough not to buy it, huh?  After you’ve got everything looking so spectacular you can reward yourself with a shiny new grill or patio furniture from Costco too.  They always have great grills and outdoor furniture this time of year, both in the warehouses and online.  We loved our shiny stainless steel grill we had from Costco, I think my mom can’t wait for us to get our stuff out of storage so that she can have it.  What is summer without burgers and sausages on the grill?

Those are just a few of my highlights this month, but there are lots of other good deals too.  Happy saving!
