Costco US Coupon Book: July 10 – August 3, 2014

July 8th, 2014 · 1 Comment

The new Costco US coupon book starts on Thursday, July 10, and runs through the first few days of August, until August 3.  In the coupon this month there’s a healthy savings of $1,100.00 in warehouse savings and another $7,200.00 in online only deals.  I like it when they have a wide variety of product types represented in the coupons and that’s what this month is all about it seems.  There’s something in just about all of the big categories from electronics to clothes to health and beauty to cleaning supplies – there is a nice selection of deals this month.  I’m really pleased that there are only two coupons that require you to show the cashier your actual coupon book or the app on your phone.

This month I have uploaded the new Costco US Coupon Book PDF (or view it in the Google PDF viewer) , but you can also view the warehouse coupons on the Costco.com website.  If you weren’t aware, Costco has updated their coupon policy for “streamlined savings”.  Basically, that means that you won’t have to clip coupons (if you ever needed to for your location anyway) again, but instead you can just show the cashier the coupon book to redeem any offers marked with a blue arrow (which will make more sense when you see the coupon book).  Or, if that is too much for you to remember to bring, you can get the latest Costco smartphone app that will allow you to use the coupons in the app for in-store redemption.  So, if you’ve got a smartphone and haven’t downloaded the Costco app yet, this is the perfect reason to do so.  You can get the app for either iPhone or Android in their respective app stores.  The only coupons that you must have the app or coupon book to redeem are the ones with the blue arrow, but there are plenty of instant savings deals as well.  For many they didn’t have to clip coupons anyway, so this isn’t necessarily all that different.  The one big change is that Costco says that they will no longer have extra copies of the coupon book available at the warehouses.   If you didn’t get your book or never do, you should stop by Customer Service and make sure that they have all of your mailing information correct and that you have allowed them permission to send you things in the mail.  Or, just use the Costco smartphone app.  Lastly, you can also view them on the Costco.com website.  Costco has recently started posting the coupons online and through the app before they actually start (like just a few days after the old ones expire), so that makes it easier and nicer for planning too.

As usual, there’s a coupon for $70.00 off a set of new tires; this month the brand of choice is Bridgestone.  This is one of the coupons that will require you to show either your physical coupon book or the app.  You can also take advantage of this deal through Costco.com.  If you have some summer road trips planned for the next few months, this is the perfect opportunity to get a new set of tires.  Or, if you are gearing up for back to school time and all the driving for the new school year, this is a great time to use the coupon.

I really like the deal for $100.00 off the Dyson Ball DC65 Animal Plus Upright Vacuum; you can find this deal in your local warehouse or through Costco.com.  This is an amazingly huge amount off with this coupon.  If you’ve been wanting one of these and drooling over them for months and months but just couldn’t bring yourself to pay the big price for it, this is the perfect opportunity for you.  I’ve heard from several people who have Dyson vacuum cleaners that they really are the best vacuum cleaner for keeping your carpets and upholstery super clean and free from even a trace of pet hair, dust or dirt.  Not only do they do a great job of cleaning, but they are also lightweight and move really nicely.  I really want one, but of course, the small teeny tiny version.  We’re moving to a new flat in a month or so and I’m thinking I might splurge and buy myself one.

There’s an instant savings of $2.00 off an eight piece Jenna Hipp nail polish set.  Funny enough, I just sent my sister one of these via Costco.com.  The set I got her is slightly different because it is a 12 piece set though.  They have two different eight piece sets that the instant savings will apply too.  In each set you get eight little bottles of polish, along with a nail file.  The bottles aren’t huge at just 0.16 fluid ounces, but that is big enough to try out all the colours, especially since you have eight different ones.  It looks like they have one set that is bright colours and another one that is more subdued neutral colours.  The good thing about the Jenna Hipp lines are that they are “Five Free Formula” polishes.  That means they are free from: Dibutyl Phthalate, Formaldehyde Resin, Formaldehyde, Toluen, and Camphor.  So, pretty and good for you and the environment.

And of course, I must mention the savings on the completely awesome Langers Mango Nectar!  I have written about this a lot on my blog because it is so delicious that it deserves to be mentioned all the time.  Seriously, it has no equal.  I have tried lots of different mango juices/nectars/drinks and none compare to the amazing, thick mango-ness of Langers.   I am completely jealous that I can’t use this coupon!  You can get $1.50 off a single 128 ounce jug, or $2.25 off 2, 3 liter jugs.  But whatever size you choose, it’s a great time to stock up on Langers Mango Nectar.  I actually just recounted one of my previous posts about the great Langers Mango Nectar at the end of May when I wrote about some of the products that I love.  I still keep hoping that I will see it on the shelves here in the UK, so far, no luck.  Though, I feel like I’m getting closer because I noticed that they have Langers Vegetable Juice here now.  Sadly, they’re still selling the rubbish mango juice stuff from an inferior brand.

There’s also a deal this month for Haagen-Dazs vanilla and milk chocolate almond ice cream bars.  You can get $3.00 off a box of 15, 3 oz bars.   These are super delicious and perfect for a summer treat.  I would definitely be buying a box (or two if I’m honest) of these if I were in the US now.  I’m not even a huge ice cream eater but these are just the perfect mix of creamy ice cream and milk chocolate with a bit of crunchy almondy goodness.  They’re really just how I always want an ice cream bar to taste, but find they rarely do, sadly.

There are lots of other great deals in the coupon book this time, but these are just a few of the things that I really like in the current deals.  There are also some nice coupons for cleaning items that I didn’t even mention.  So, be sure to take a good look at the book before planning your next trip to Costco.

Thats not entirely true about the coupon books and whats required. Not all warehouses are equipped to take the apps from phones like ours doesnt, also we have never required members to show the booklets, we automatically scanned our master coupons at the register. Lastly for the last 2 months all coupons are “automatic” when we ring the item thru the member gets the sale price !
