The new Costco US coupon book starts tomorrow and runs through the last Sunday in February, the 22nd. In the coupon this month there’s a nice savings of $1,300.00 in warehouse savings. This month just about everything in the book is an instant savings deal, you’ll only need the book or app to get the deal for $30.00 off a second pair of glasses through Costco Optical. There are some really good coupons this month, and certainly lots of coupons for cleaning supplies.
This month I don’t have my own PDF to download, but you can view the warehouse coupons on the Costco.com website. If you weren’t aware, Costco has updated their coupon policy for “streamlined savings”. Basically, that means that you won’t have to clip coupons (if you ever needed to for your location anyway) again, but instead you can just show the cashier the coupon book or the smartphone app to redeem any offers marked with a blue arrow (which will make more sense when you see the coupon book). You can get the app for either iPhone or Android in their respective app stores. The only coupons that you must have the app or coupon book to redeem are the ones with the blue arrow, but they are all pretty much instant savings deals lately. For many, they didn’t have to clip coupons anyway, so this isn’t necessarily all that different. The one big change is that Costco says that they will no longer have extra copies of the coupon book available at the warehouses. If you didn’t get your book or never do, you should stop by Customer Service and make sure that they have all of your mailing information correct and that you have allowed them permission to send you things in the mail. Or, just use the Costco smartphone app. Lastly, you can also view them on the Costco.com website. Costco has recently started posting the coupons online and through the app before they actually start (like just a few days after the old ones expire), so that makes it easier and nicer for planning too.
This month, you can get a new set of four Michelin tires for $70.00 off. You can also take advantage of this coupon online at Costco.com. Costco is giving you a few additional days to use this coupon as well since it lasts until March 1, which is a whole week longer than the rest of the coupon book.
If you’re in need of re-stocking your laundry products, this is your lucky month. Costco has a good selection of coupons for laundry detergent and fabric softener. You can save $2.00 off Kirkland Signature fabric softener, weather liquids or sheets are your preference. You can also save $2.90 off Kirkland Signature UltraClean liquid laundry detergent, either Regular or Free & Clear. But if you prefer Gain, you can save $4.00 off of their liquid laundry detergent and $4.50 off Gain powder detergent. If you need to stock up on your dishwashing detergent, then you can get $3.00 off Finish Powerball All-in-One tabs or Jet-Dry. If you prefer liquid detergent to the tablets, you can save $2.00 off Cascade Advanced Power Gel instead. So, you should be able to keep your clothes and your dishes sparkly clean.
One of the coupons that I really like this month is for $5.00 off a set of Snapware food storage containers. You get 15 containers and 15 lids, plus two divided trays and two ice packs. Snapware is great! The containers are microwave and dishwasher safe and can be put in the freezer too. I’ve got two sets of Snapware now, one plastic and one glass, and both of them are excellent and keep food fresher longer because of their super seal. The lids have a silicone gasket (that you can remove for optimal cleaning) and these clips on all sides that “snap” close for a very tight seal that means stuff won’t leak out and air won’t seep in either. I think these are great for taking to work or school for lunch because you don’t have to worry about them leaking at all. I also use them in my fridge for leftovers and things like vegetables or cheese. So if you’re looking for a better food storage container set, you definitely need to consider these. Also, you can pick these up at Costco.com if you won’t be able to make it into your warehouse location; the set is $24.99 online, plus $6.99 shipping right now.
This month you can get $4.00 off the big three pound bag of Kirkland Signature Farmed Atlantic Salmon. I know that farmed is not as great for you as the wild stuff, but I still eat it and like it. I think the KS frozen fish are a great way to keep fish on hand for dinner during the week without worrying about it not being fresh. I’m also a big fan of the individually packed fillets because they make it easy to store but also because it keeps the fish in better shape and means it won’t get freezer burn. I always have some of the KS salmon in our freezer because it is one of our favourite fish and is so easy to prepare in a variety of ways and it goes well with most anything. My go-to easy meal during the week is to bake salmon fillets and roast some vegetables, not too exciting but healthy and tasty too.
There are always plenty of vitamins and supplements in the coupon books, and this one is no exception. However, there are also some coupons this month for two things that everyone should have in their household medicine cabinet: a thermometer and a blood pressure monitor. In this latest coupon book you can get $8.00 off of an Exergen Temporal Artery Thermometer. This is that cool kind of thermometer that you see on medical tv shows that just requires a quick scan of the forehead, which is much easier to do and get an accurate reading than the ear. You can use this to get temps for babies to adults, awake or asleep, and it is very accurate too. Also in this coupon book is a deal for $8.00 off a Microlife Deluxe Blood Pressure Monitor. A lot of people have high blood pressure and aren’t even aware of it because they never check it. I have almost the exact same model of blood pressure monitor and we both find it easy to use and I like that it can keep track of your readings too. You can track 99 readings for two different users, which is great information to help you to keep an eye on your blood pressure. You can also get this blood pressure monitor at Costco.com for $44.99 (without $8.00 off), shipping included. Costco.com also has a lot of information about the technical information about the blood pressure monitor and how to use it.
These are just some of my favourites and highlights for this latest coupon book, but there are really a lot more great items in the coupon book. I could probably go on and on, so be sure to take a good look through the coupons before your next Costco trip.
