The new Costco UK coupon book starts on Monday and runs until Easter, April 5. There’s more than £400.00 worth of savings and there are some decent deals. I’m not overwhelmed with the new coupon book, but there are still some good deals and even a few for things that I’m now glad that I didn’t get on our last trip to Costco. There’s an emphasis on getting your yard in order, as well as a special Kirkland Signature section.
I’ve uploaded the new Costco UK Coupon Book PDF (or view it in the Google PDF viewer). If you didn’t get your book or never do, you should stop by Customer Service and make sure that they have all of your mailing information correct and that you have allowed them permission to send you things in the mail. Also, while you’re there, ask them for a copy of the latest book if they didn’t hand you one when you walked in the store. In the UK they print the coupons on both sides of the pages and without the codes and they just automatically deduct them after they ring up your items. I love this method of couponing and I’m glad to see that it seems all Costco locations in the world are following suit. I do still find it useful to have a copy so I know what to look for because I don’t always notice the signs that they’ve posted to let you know what has a coupon. Of course, they often hand you a copy of the coupon book when you walk in the store or have them sitting there so you can grab one as you enter. I usually download a copy of the PDF to my phone before I go to the store so that I can easily reference it while shopping. If you sign up to receive emails from Costco.co.uk, they will send out an email that lets you know that the new coupon book is available online, usually the weekend before the new book starts. Since they now post the coupons on the Costco UK website, you can always download a copy of the latest coupon book from there; you can also find a link to it on the Warehouses Offers webpage.
It definitely feels like Spring is just around the corner with things starting to bloom and flower and the temperature rising. And of course, that means that it is the perfect time to do a little bit of work around the yard. There are a couple of coupons that will be perfect to get you going too. There’s a coupon for £4.00 off Weedblock Heavy Duty Weed Control Fabric, which makes it £19.18 (with VAT) for a 1.22 m x 45 m roll. We have always used this when landscaping because it makes it so much easier to maintain weed-free beds, not to mention it also keeps your mulch from just sinking right into your soil. If you’ve already got plants in a bed it is a bit harder to put down but definitely worth the effort. There’s also a coupon for Gro-Sure All Purpose Compost, so you can keep any new plantings looking great for the Summer. You can get three, 120 litre containers for the price of two, or £14.37 with VAT. If you want to keep your grass looking as good as your plants, there’s also a deal for £3.20 off Aftercut All in One that feeds your grass and kills weeds and moss. A bag that covers 500 square metres of lawn is just £15.34 (inc VAT) after the discount. There’s another yard project coupon for £5.00 off a pack of 8 solar powered Tribute Large Solar Pathway Lights; final price of £27.58 with VAT. Solar powered lights are a great way to add some light around your yard without messing with any type of electrical work. The only downfall to solar powered lights like this is that you do need to have the lights in a place where they will get adequate sunlight to charge the batteries or else the lights won’t work their best or at all. So, with all of these coupons your yard is sure to look perfect for the nice weather I’m hoping our Summer will bring.
Some of my very favourite sweet treats are having coupons in this new book, just in time for Easter baskets. There’s a coupon for £2.70 off a pack of four, 200 gram boxes of Lindt Lindor Truffles; final price £9.94 (inc. VAT). I just love their melty, creamy chocolate centers. Yum! And, the pack at Costco has four different varieties to choose from. Also, I will point out that the price at Costco is an incredible deal when compared to other supermarkets and retailers. Normally, you would pay £4.50 for a 200 gram package of these truffles. So, at Costco it is like you are getting two free boxes of these truffles. That’s a great deal!
As I mentioned, there’s a special section of the coupon book highlighting some of the great Kirkland Signature products. Of course, the product that stands out to me is the very excellent Kirkland Signature Vanilla Ice Cream. You can get a two pack of 1.89 litre containers for a final price of £8.99 (no VAT). This isn’t just your run of the mill ice cream, the KS stuff is comparable to a very high quality premium ice cream. It is creamy with the perfect vanilla flavour. If I had a bigger freezer I would certainly be picking some of this up, unfortunately for me, I just don’t have room in my tiny freezer. This ice cream is excellent for making nice thick milk shakes too or just in a bowl with chocolate sauce on it. I’m not really an ice cream person but I will make an exception for the KS vanilla, because it is just that good.
Lastly, I wanted to point out that there’s a deal on Michelin tyres this month. Costco UK doesn’t have tyre coupons all the time, like the do in the US, so I try to make a special mention of these when they come around. If you buy two Michelin tyres you can get Costco shopping vouchers for £10, £30, or £50 depending on the size of the tyres. And if you buy a whole set of four Michelin tyres you will receive a Costco shopping voucher for £30, £70, or £100, depending on the size. So, this is perhaps the perfect time to kit out your car with a new set of tyres. There’s also a few pages in the coupon booklet to tell you how great and safety-minded the Michelin tyres are, if you need convincing.
