Costco US Coupon Book: August 6 – 30, 2015

August 4th, 2015 · 1 Comment

The new coupon book starts this Thursday, August 6, and runs for the rest of the month, August 30.  This new coupon book offers $2,100.00 in savings and some really good deals.  Some of our top things to buy at Costco are having coupon deals this month, like Snapware, Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwiches, Clorox 2, and the giant box of Pepperidge Farms Goldfish.  This month instead of my picks for the best deals in the coupon book,  I’ve got frequent guest poster Rick, so that you can get a fresh take on the August coupons.

Costco US Coupon Book: August 6 – 30, 2015

This month I have uploaded the new Costco US Coupon Book PDF (or view it in the Google PDF viewer) (this is a PDF of what they posted online), or you can view it at the warehouse coupons on the Costco.com website.  If you weren’t aware, Costco has updated their coupon policy for “streamlined savings”.  Basically, that means that you won’t have to clip coupons (if you ever needed to for your location anyway) again, but instead you can just show the cashier the coupon book or the smartphone app to redeem any offers marked with a blue arrow (which will make more sense when you see the coupon book).  You can get the app for either iPhone or Android in their respective app stores.  The only coupons that you must have the app or coupon book to redeem are the ones with the blue arrow, but they are all pretty much instant savings deals lately.  For many, they didn’t have to clip coupons anyway, so this isn’t necessarily all that different.  If you didn’t get your book or never do, you should stop by Customer Service and make sure that they have all of your mailing information correct and that you have allowed them permission to send you things in the mail.  Or, just use the Costco smartphone app.

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Bundle

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Bundle

US households should have all received the latest coupon book or have seen it online. This book has a good variety of electronics, household goods, fresh and frozen foods and more. This books starts on Thursday, August 6, and goes until Sunday, August 30. I’ll draw particular highlight to the electronics in this issue. There are a lot of deals around electronics that would be a good fit for the Back to School rush for students of almost any age or situation.

This is Rick guest blogging again, and if you didn’t catch it I blog mostly about datacenter IT topics but I am particularly excited about some of the electronics in this issue. The first is the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Bundle. This is the table that can replace your laptop! It has the functionality of a full computer yet the portability of a tablet. I own two Surface tablets already and this deal almost made me get a third! Getting the Surface Pro bundle, with a cover and pen for $999 just can’t be beat. The pen and cover retail at around $179. The base model (128 GB of internal storage) retails at $999, so with the accessories effectively free this is a great deal. Additionally there are a total of 9 laptops, tablets, printers and removable hard drives that can really help out with the back to school technology needs.

Pirate's Booty White Cheddar Rice and Corn Puffs

Pirate’s Booty White Cheddar Rice and Corn Puffs

Have you had this popcorn? No seriously, have you had it? It is amazing. This is a mix rice and corn puffs without the hull of a corn kernel. Truly amazing and one of my favorite salty snacks at Costco. Additionally, my kids (ages 2 and 9) both like this snack. The texture is also good in that it isn’t too firm for my youngest one, as it’s tough to find a snack that works for everyone in the household. I love how they put a limit of 10 on this special, which should give you a sense of how good this snack is. I highly recommend you give it a try now that it is on sale if you have never tried it.

Laundry Supplies

Laundry Supplies

There are a number of laundry supplies on sale in this coupon book as well! Both liquid Tide options (Regular and High Efficiency) are on sale this month. The regular liquid is $4 off and high efficiency option is $4.50 off. Both unfortunately are limited to 1 per household per visit/purchase. You may also consider the Arm & Hammer detergent, which is $4 off this month but has a limit of 5; so maybe keep that in mind if you wish to stock up.  Stain remover and fabric softener options are also included in this cycle; so chances are you can clean up and save. Also keep in mind the Kirkland Signature environmentally responsible laundry detergent, which is $3 off.

KS Baby Wipes

KS Baby Wipes

Paging all parents with babies in diapers! These awesome wipes are on sale, and you can stock up with 2 cases. These wipes are really my favorite in that they are durable, effective at the task and an excellent value. One thing this packaging has changed recently that I don’t quite enjoy is that this case used to have a mix of larger packages and smaller portable packages for times on the go. The current packaging in my market is only larger packages with 150 wipes per package.

La Brea Bakery Naan

La Brea Bakery Naan

Who doesn’t like naan bread? This naan bread is in the Costco bakery area and is a good and versatile product. You can use it on the grill to make naan bread pizzas as well as to scoop up your favorite Indian curries. I’ve also found that naan bread is great for garlic bread to go along with your favorite Italian dishes as well. While not on sale this week, the refrigerated naan bread also is quite good.

Giant Art Jar

Giant Art Jar

Also in this coupon book is the Giant Art Jar! This is a great gift for little ones who love to color and the fact that it has its own container will really be appreciated by any parent. This would be a good Christmas or other holiday gift that you can purchase now.

Yes, Christmas gifts are already showing up at Costco! Did you see our Tweet from 26-July? Holiday gift wrapping has shown up! And yes, if you didn’t catch it we are on Twitter now as well! Be sure to follow @Addicted2Costco on Twitter!

That does it for this month’s US coupon book. What appeals to you most from the coupon book? Share your favorites below.

They accidentally loaded the coupons in the app yesterday and the coupons were active on August 3, not 6. I thought they were joining the digital age and giving the customers that have the app a few days lead. I was wrong. They would not honor the error. One of the reasons why they only do 3% of their business online.
