The new Costco UK coupon book starts on Monday, November 23 and runs until mid-December, the 13th. In this new coupon book there is a respectable £730.00 in savings, which is just a tiny bit less than the previous book. It seems like there are a number of these that will be great for anyone planning a holiday party, including lots of alcoholic beverages.
I’ve uploaded the new Costco UK Coupon Book PDF (or view it in the Google PDF viewer). If you didn’t get your book or never do, you should stop by Customer Service and make sure that they have all of your mailing information correct and that you have allowed them permission to send you things in the mail. Also, while you’re there, ask them for a copy of the latest book if they didn’t hand you one when you walked in the store. In the UK they print the coupons on both sides of the pages, without the codes, and they just automatically deduct them after they ring up your items. I love this method of couponing and I’m glad to see that it seems all Costco locations in the world are following suit. I do still find it useful to have a copy so I know what to look for because I don’t always notice the signs that they’ve posted to let you know what has a coupon. Of course, they often hand you a copy of the coupon book when you walk in the store or have them sitting there so you can grab one as you enter. I usually download a copy of the PDF to my phone before I go to the store so that I can easily reference it while shopping. If you sign up to receive emails from Costco.co.uk, they will send you an email to let you know when the new coupon book is available online, usually the weekend before the new book starts. Since they now post the coupons on the Costco UK website, you can always download a copy of the latest coupon book from there or you can find a link to it on the Warehouse Offers webpage.
If you are looking for a great gift for the iTunes shopper in your life, you can get a nice 15% discount off a four pack of £15.00 iTunes gift cards. So, instead of paying the full face value of £60.00 for the four cards, you’ll just pay £46.74. This might even be a good “gift” for yourself. I’m actually considering buying these because we do like to buy music sometimes, and this would be a good way to get a bit of a discount.
For years I have had a love of Walkers Shortbread, so I have a very hard time getting my shortbread love in check, and Costco doesn’t make it any easier when they have coupons for it. You can save £1.50 off a 900 gram box of Walkers Scottish Biscuit Assortment. They have six different varieties in the box, including the chocolate with Belgian chocolate chunks, chocolate chunk shortbread, and the plain buttery shortbread. Yum! After the discount, the box is just £3.49, which is practically just forcing you to buy them. All of these are the perfect accompaniment to a cut of tea, coffee, or hot cocoa on a cold wintry day.
It’s quickly become that time of year when your shoes and boots are wet and messy when you come in from outside. So, this is the perfect time to get some absorbent door mats to keep the mess contained and your floors clean. You can save £2.00 off a two pack of washable cotton door mats; just £9.58 with VAT. I have these mats and love them. We’ve had them for about five years I think and they still look great, even though I don’t do much to keep them that way. The cotton fibres are surprisingly absorbent and really great for wicking away water, snow, general grubbiness, from the soles of your shoes. They’re not cute or pretty, but they are very effective and will keep your carpet or floors much cleaner this winter.
If you are having a big holiday party, Costco really is your friend. I think if I were having a party this year, I would be very tempted to get the 3 kilogram half a Parma Ham Leg for £31.99 after £8.00 off. I’ve always wanted one of these but it’s clearly not practical for any situation where you don’t have a number of people to share this with, as well as a place to store it. I know there is a special little stand you are supposed to have with your Parma Ham, but I imagine there’s a way to get around that. If the Parma Ham isn’t quite what you had in mind, there’s also a wide variety of discounts for adult beverages. There are discounts for beer, wine, vodka, port, whisky, and wine. So whatever you want, they’ve probably got a deal on it right now. I personally like the cute little mini keg of Warsteiner Pilsner for £2.50 off. The cute little keg holds 5 litres and is £11.98 with VAT after the discount. I’ve got nothing to contribute about the quality of this, but the little keg is great. We had some of these at a party a few years ago and everyone loved it (ours held root beer though).
