Hey Tim,
Thanks for the quick reply. However, I do have one more question. Did you just apply on line and wait it out for Costco to respond or did you take further steps like calling corporate, the hiring manager (etc)? All I have done is the filling out of the application on line. I absolutely have no idea (no phone numbers (etc) on who to call or to further contact at Costco to express my continued interest. If you have any “secrets” up your sleeve please let me know. I’m in a really desperate situation.

Am I hearing you right in saying that you and your wife will have a Costco interview Monday of next week? If so, are you referring to the Farragut location? Do you know what position(s) that you will be interviewed for? Just wondering because I haven’t heard a peep from them and I had applied very early on.

JC and Tim, that is weird you all are just now or have not heard about interviews, I had mine weeks ago and already have received my denied letter. Still don’t know what to think about it. The only thing I can think of is a payroll thing. Don’t know why else I wouldn’t get transfer. Another guy in my building with 25 years also didn’t get his transfer nor his wife. Of course they don’t tell you why.

Well I was told today that I am not going to Farragut, all the positions had already been filled. Good luck to the rest of you. Who knows maybe down the road (next summer) something will come open where I can get in.

Work continues to move at a rapid pace now. All four walls are up and under roof, the side parking lot ( facing Kingston Pike ) has been done. The steel is up for the gas canopy. It appears that the front of the warehouse will be facing Lovell Road. Really making a lot of progress.

The Sun Prairie, WI location has banners up advertising job openings, and what appears to be a trailer on-site for interviews. Is it normal for Costco to begin interviewing for positions more than 60 days out from a store opening, or is this an indication that the store might open sooner than Nov. 15?

Just to let everyone know I had a quick 5 minute preliminary interview with Todd yesterday. I believe he is calling people with the most time or seniority first and then going down the list. He said just a quick call to get a little background and then will call back later when they have everything set. Said he is looking for managers and forklift drivers possibly reporting on the 8th of October.

We moved to Wichita,KS last yr and have greatly missed having a Costco close the closest being 4 hrs in the KC area.We travel to N’ville,our home of the last 15 yrs,about 6-7wks.so I can stock up on some things but I miss the fresh items tremendously!You are missing a diamond of a location here,build a Costco here you would get all kinds of business from KS, OK and even Eastern Co.We have 2Sam’s located here and I don’t understand why Costco hasn’t taken advantage of this fertile location where the best brands &prices would surely be a PRIZE winning situation for you!!I have been a loyal Costco consumer every since you built in Brentwood,TN and now am forced to shop at other places where I don’t get the same brands,quality,&prices.Please give serious thought to locating in Wichita,KS we the people won’t let you down!! Farragut Crew: Called the South East regional office today, the trailer will not have a phone installed until Tuesday, September 4th. Probably why no phone calls have been made. Hopefully anyway….

I know the assistant managers will not report for Farragut until about the second week of September. So I’m pretty sure no interviews until Todd and whoever his assistants get in and take a look together.

It’s only 4 hours away, worse case scenerio we’ll drive there (again) this week and pop in. I think that seems a little presumptious though no?

I keep hearing rumors about Costco coming to the Fort Collins, CO area (Timnath, Windsor, Loveland). Is there truth to this idea. I do know many who are anxious for a Costco in northern Colorado.
