Costco Does Decorating: Costco Home Stores

March 27th, 2008 · 4 Comments

It’s amazing what you can find stumbling around someone’s website. Did you know that Costco has two locations under the Costco Home brand? Who knew? Apparently, Costco Home is a big furniture and decorating store with all of the great Costco deals, just none of the food, books, appliances, etc. From the align=picture, you can see that it is set up a lot like a regular furniture store, just with a bit of Costco warehouse flare thrown in for good measure. In other pictures of this home store secret, you can see things like knick knacks, and even a baby grand piano! I so want one in my neighborhood. Though, I wonder if they make you take it all home right then? Oh wait, from the website I see that they don’t, they actually have a delivery service, with pretty reasonable prices even.I’m so jealous because, unfortunately, they only have two locations – Kirkland, Washington and Tempe, Arizona. And I’m pretty sure that I’m out of the delivery zone here in Texas. So, if you live in Kirkland or Tempe you should check it out and let us know what it’s like. For the rest of us, we will have to make due with the items in the stores or on their website.

Here are the locations of the two available Costco Home Stores:

Kirkland, Washington
11831 120th Avenue NE
Tempe, Arizona
1345 W. Elliot Road
M – F: 10 am – 8:30 pm
Sat: 9:30 am to 6 pm
Sun: 10 am to 6 pm

If you would like to torture yourself by seeing more of the items they have at the Costco Home that isn’t in your neighborhood, click here. Yes, they even have their own edition of the Costco Connection magazine…so unfair!

I have recently seen (I think it was last week) a couple of complete vanities in the Austin Costco…granite top w/ sink & a nice dark wood vanity. More on the modern side but sometimes they have different ones actually in the store.

    Wow, I need this!

I noticed that the newest coupon book has coupons for 2 bathroom renovation pieces — a cool bathtub and a vanity — both very reasonably priced.

Since I’m starting a new renovation project, I’m keeping an eye on Costco for cost effective solutions.

I’m lucky enough to live fairly close to the Tempe Costco Home Store – maybe 30-40 miles away. I will definitely check it out as I’m closing on a house today and need virtually everything! I’ve lived here forever and didn’t know it existed.
