Costco Coupon Book – Summer 2008

June 18th, 2008 · 9 Comments

Well, you may have gotten it late, like I did, but it is here now and you can start enjoying Costco savings all summer long. According to the front of my coupon book, Costco had a little mailing mishap so they have extended the expiration date on the initial bunch of coupons to last through June 22. As always with these coupon books from Costco, there are a lot of coupons in there! There are 77 coupons for products in the warehouses or online and then an additional 7 coupons or offers from Costco service partners. That’s a bunch of savings over the next 3 months (the coupon book covers June, July, and August). So, let’s get to the good stuff…

HDTVs:

First, I need to point out that there are a number of coupons for these in various brands and sizes. Vizio, Philips, Sceptre, Samsung are all represented. The only brand that we have any real experience with is Sceptre. We bought a 42″ Sceptre from Costco.com last year and it is really nice. It has really nice picture quality and sharpness. From what I’ve read, Sceptre actually provides components for some of the other television manufacturers.

  • Vizio 50″ 1080p Plasma – $100 off coupon from June 2 – June 22, 2008.
  • Philips 47″ 1080p LCD – $300 off coupon from June 23 – June 29, 2008.
  • Sceptre 32″ 1080p LCD – $150 off coupon from July 14 – July 20, 2008.
  • Samsung 67″ 1080p DLP TV with Stand – $200 off coupon from July 21 – July 27, 2008.
  • Samsung 46″ 1080p LCD – $200 off coupon from July 28 – August 3, 2008.
  • Philips 52″ 1080p LCD – $400 off coupon from August 18 – August 24, 2008.

Computers:

There are a variety of coupons you can use to get a new computer just in time for school.

  • Dell Desktop or Notebooks – Select models with up to 4GB of memory. Coupon for up to $400 off from July 21 – July 27, 2008; available only at Costco.com.
  • HP 15.4″ Notebook – Core 2 Duo, 4GB of memory, built in wireless, 320 GB hard drive, and Windows Vista. $150 off coupon from August 4 – August 10, 2008.
  • HP 17″ Notebook – Core 2 Duo, 4GB of memory, built in wireless, 320 GB hard drive, and Windows Vista. $150 off coupon from August 11 – August 17, 2008.
  • HP Pavilion Desktop with 24″ Widescreen LCD Monitor – Core 2 Quad, 4GB of memory, 640 GB hard drive, and Windows Vista. $100 off coupon from August 18 – August 24, 2008.

There’s also a coupon for a great external hard drive that you can use to create automatic backups of your important files, perhaps from your new computer you also purchased at Costco.

  • Western Digital 1TB MyBook Hard Drive – $30 off coupon from June 16 – June 22, 2008.

Household Items:

As always, Costco has plenty of coupons for items around the house; everything from furniture to a set of pots and pans.

  • Harmonics Pad-Attached Laminate Flooring – Harvest Oak, Skyline Maple, Royal Mahogany, or Vintage Chestnut finishes. $8 off coupon from June 30 – July 20, 2008.
  • Little Giant 17″ Type 1A Ladder – Dave has been eying this ladder because it’s one of those that can fold around into all kinds of configurations, as well as be just a conventional ladder. $30 off coupon from July 7 – July 13, 2008.
  • Whirlpool Duet Sport Washer, Dryer, and Pedestals – $200 off coupon from July 7 – July 13, 2008; available at Costco.com only.
  • Fellowes Shredder – Everyone should have one of these to shred sensitive items and do a little to avoid identity theft. $20 off coupon from July 21 – July 27, 2008.
  • Circulon 11 Piece Cookware Set – $40 off coupon from July 21 – July 27, 2008.
  • Bissell ProHeat 2X Upright Deep Cleaner – I love my Bissell steam cleaner! It is great to be able to clean my carpet whenever I need to; and it’s also remarkably quick. $30 off coupon from August 4 – August 10, 2008.
  • Philips Sonicare Dual Handle Rechargeable Toothbrush – These are really nice and they’ve come way down in price from when we bought our first one about a decade ago. This is a really nice set because it comes with 2 handles, 4 brushes, and 2 travel cases but just one charging base. $20 off coupon from August 4 – August 10, 2008.
  • Blake Leather Recliners in Chocolate Brown – You can either get a single chair or a 2-pack. $150 off for a single chair and $350 off a 2-pack from August 18 – August 24, 2008. Available at Costco.com only.

Food:

  • Fresh Boneless Pork Chops – $5 off coupon from June 16 – June 22, 2008.
  • Kirkland Signature White and Chocolate Cupcakes – You get 20 off these in the box at Costco and they are yummy; perhaps the best store bought cupcakes I’ve ever had. For more on my love of these, read my previous post. $5 off coupon from June 30 – July 6, 2008.
  • Kirkland Signature Chocolate Chunk Cookies – You get 2 dozen of these in the container and they are really delicious. And with the coupon the price is fantastic! For more detail about how great these are , read my previous post. $2 off coupon from July 14 – July 20, 2008.

Obviously, there are many more coupons available in this coupon book, but this post is already way longer than I had intended. So, be sure to check out all of your summer savings at Costco!

Don’t forget, I’ve started to keep track of the Costco Coupon Books on a public Google calendar (so that we can all try to figure out a pattern for when they come out. Plus, it links back to my blog post about that particular coupon book. For now, you can find the coupon calendar here.

I am thinking about buying a steam cleaner. I know buying v renting depends on how often I use it but is it really worth it to buy. What does everyone think?

I wasn’t sure if it was a special coupon code or just what is already on the site… Thanks

Oh, I’m a goof…it is just an online offer. Well, you won’t need a coupon then. You can buy it and it takes off the coupon amount automatically. You’ll need your membership number when you checkout though…so be sure to have your card nearby.

    Well it’s online only, I think atleast…

I’m just curious if there is a coupon code to enter or if it takes it off automatically when you go to their website…?

You should ask at the Customer Service desk if they could give you another book. I’ve also noticed that sometimes they just take it off at the register without you even needing the coupon but that’s a bit of a gamble. If you can’t get a replacement, I’d be happy to mail you ours since we’re not using it.

If you would sell that 32″ 1080p Coupon, Lemme know I’d be very interested… I can’t find our coupon book… =/

I wonder if they can send another one out?

You should definitely contact them because if they’re not sending you the coupon books they probably have your address listed incorrectly. And of course, if you are an Executive Member you want to get that cleared up because they mail you your rebate check too!

I’m going to have to contact Costco- we’ve never gotten anything from them in the mail except the things I’ve ordered. Looks like some great coupons are included this time!
