Costco US is CLOSED on Thanksgiving (November 25, 2010)

November 23rd, 2010 · 4 Comments

I wanted to make sure that everyone in the US realizes that all Costco locations will be CLOSED all day on Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 25, 2010).  So, if you’re going to be responsible for Thanksgiving dinner at your house and still have some stuff you need to get, make sure you hit Costco by Wednesday evening!  There are plenty of great things to pick up for your big feast, for instance, the pumpkin pie.  Where else can you get a really great 10″ pumpkin pie, that you didn’t have to make, for under $6.00?  Also, don’t forget that the current Costco Coupon Book runs through this weekend, so check it out before you go to Costco.

Also, as I’m sure you know, Black Friday (the Friday following Thanksgiving) is a big, big shopping day.  And Costco is certainly offering some great deals either in the warehouses or through Costco.com.  Costco warehouses will be opening at 9 am on Black Friday; that’s an entire extra hour of shopping time.  Before you go, be sure to check out the Costco Thanksgiving Weekend Coupon Book.  However, if you’re one of those people that plan on getting up well before the crack of dawn, let’s say 4 am, you’re not going to find Costco open, no matter how much you knock on the door.  You’ll need to spend those early hours shopping at places like Target or Best Buy.  Or, shop at Costco.com for all of their great Black Friday deals (while supplies last, so log on early).  So, I say, sleep in and then go to Costco at a civilized hour!

I’m surprised you didn’t write about their free 2010 cookbook! :]

@Alvina, thanks for reminding me about that. Since I wasn’t in the US after Thanksgiving I missed out on it. But luckily, you can get a copy online. I’ll have to write a post about it sometime though so that everyone knows where to find it, if they missed out on getting one as well.

We went early today (Tuesday) and it was already a mad house! I cannot imagine going tomorrow or anytime this weekend.
