More Festive Cheer from Costco

December 16th, 2011 · No Comments

Earlier this week I wrote about the 12 Deals of Christmas from and now I’ve got another way that Costco is trying to spread some holiday cheer this season.  Costco has created three customized holiday music CD sets so that everyone can get some jolly in their lives through tons of holiday classics.

As I mentioned there are three different sets: one for kids, one with holiday classics, and one with various musicians singing holiday favourites.  Each of the CD sets can be purchased at your local Costco warehouse (Item #593492) for a limited time.  I imagine they won’t be hanging around much beyond the holiday season.  Each CD has 13 songs, so that’s a total of 26 songs for the 2-disc set; which is quite a lot of music.  Since there are so many songs you shouldn’t feel like you’re listening to the same two songs over and over again all day long.  And yes, I’ve had that holiday music CD where it made me a little crazy after about a couple of hours, because I swear it was like the same two songs all the time even though I know it was more.

These seem like really nice compilations of holiday tunes though.  I think I’d be happy with either of the adult-aimed CDs.  My love for Disney isn’t, perhaps, what it used to be when I was a little younger, but I’ll bet it’s great for the kids and would give them lots of chances to learn all of the Christmas songs that we all grew up with too.  Of course, those ‘hours of listening enjoyment’ might not translate to your adult ears.

I’ve copied the song lists for each of the CD sets here so that you can see all of the great songs.  However, if reading the titles isn’t enough, and you really just need to listen to some music to get the feel for which one you’d like to buy, you can do that too.  If you’d like to listen to samples from each of these CDs you can find them at Costco’s partner site,  For each CD set they have six songs that you can listen to before choosing which one you like.  I tried to find these CDs on the site, but couldn’t locate them, so I can’t give you any idea of pricing for these.
