Costco Customer Service Shines Once Again

May 28th, 2013 · 3 Comments

[It’s a lousy, super rainy, rather depressing day here in Sydney, so I figured I would write about something that makes me smile.  Luckily, I just got a great email from a fellow Costco shopper that did just that.  I thought it would be perfect to share with everyone else and put a smile on a few other faces as well today.  This is one of those stories that makes you just that much more impressed with Costco and their excellent efforts in the area of customer service and their willingness to go that extra mile for a member.  And definitely, a special kudos to the people at the Costco in Warrenton, Oregon (1804 SE Ensign Lane, Warrenton, OR 97146)!]

Customer Service at Costco Warrenton, Oregon above and beyond!

My parents were visiting the Costco in Warrenton (Oregon) on their way home from Washington. My Dad’s favorite (very special) cane was left in the cart when they left. Living miles and miles away, they were just sick to find it missing and remembering the last place they had it on the way home.

I assisted with a call to Customer Service the following day and indeed the cane had been turned in. I described the special natural wood cane that my Dad had made from a special tree in his yard and explained how attached he was to the cane.  Unfortunately, they live miles away and I was wondering if we could have it mailed here as my parents are elderly and were unable to drive back to Warrenton.

A return call in approximately one hour from the supervisor was received to inform me that they would send it UPS! That was going above and beyond!!! We did receive the cane in 2-3 days as promised. He was so happy and felt so blessed that he did not lose his special cane!

Thank you Warrenton COSTCO!!!!!

Last week, NY was getting the remnants of those horrible Midwest storms. As I walked into Costco, very wet, and with a wet shopping cart, the greeter at the door was wiping down the handles and baby seats of all the carts coming thru the doors.

How nice was that! And I was so surprised I thanked him profusely.
