Costco UK Coupon Book: July 22 – August 11, 2013

July 20th, 2013 · No Comments

I think it has been a whole week since I’ve done a full coupon post.  Luckily, the new Costco UK coupon book starts on Monday, 22 July, so I didn’t have to wait too long for another post like this.  The new coupon book which starts on Monday runs through 11 August and has coupons valued at more than £550.00 in savings, which is exactly the same as the previous coupon book.  I was planning on going to Costco today, however, now I’m thinking I’ll put off my visit until next week.

Costco UK Coupon Book: July 22 – August 11, 2013

I’ve uploaded the new Costco UK Coupon Book PDF (or view it in the Google PDF viewer).  If you didn’t get your book or never do, you should stop by Customer Service and make sure that they have all of your mailing information correct and that you have allowed them permission to send you things in the mail.  Also, while you’re there, ask them for a copy of the latest book if they didn’t hand you one when you walked in the store.  In the UK they print the coupons on both sides of the pages and without the codes, so they clearly do not want you to clip the coupons out and give them to your cashier; they just automatically deduct them after they ring up your items.  I love this method of couponing and wish that all of the Costco locations in the world would follow suit.  Though, I still find it useful to have a copy so I know what to look for because I don’t always notice the signs that they’ve posted to let you know what has a coupon.  I usually download a copy of the PDF to my phone before I go to the store so that I can easily reference it while shopping.  If you sign up to receive emails from, they will send out an email that lets you know that the new coupon book is available online, usually the weekend before the new book starts.  Since they now post the coupons on the Costco UK website, you can always download a copy of the latest coupon book from there; you can also find a link to it on the Warehouses webpage.

There are quite a few items in this new bunch of coupons that have caught my eye.  For instance, the very awesome Finish Quantum dishwasher tablets are an astounding deal at half off.  For two packs of 40 tablets each, you’ll end up paying £11.86 or £0.15 per load of dishes.  For the incredibly good job these tablets do at keeping your dishes looking like new, that is a bargain.  Not to mention, that is less than you’ll pay for a single pack of 30 at any other supermarket (ASDA, Waitrose, or Tesco) except Ocado.  All of them want £12.00 for a 30 tablet pack!!  Ocado has the best price at £6.00 for a 30 pack, but it still isn’t quite as good as Costco.  This is a spectacular deal.

And if you love proscuitto as much as I do, you’ll be just as thrilled to see the coupon for 20% off the Ermes Fontana 250 gram package of proscuitto di Parma.  This makes this delicious Italian meat just £4.95.  While it might not sound like a lot of meat could be in a 250 gram container, you have to remember that proscuitto is cut so finely that you really do get a good number of slices in the package.  Plus, they do nicely separate the slices with the slick paper to keep them from sticking together (though sometimes they still do), which means you won’t have to make it look like a huge mess trying to pry the slices apart.  This is a perfect part of a quick and cool summer meal when combined with some fresh bread, olives, cheese and a light salad.  Delicious!

I was thrilled to see my favourite toothbrush and toothpaste combo are both having coupons this time around too.  As I think I may have mentioned once or twice, I LOVE the Oral-B ProExpert toothpaste.  Nothing gets my teeth as clean and leaves them with that fresh from the dentist white shine either and with 20% off I’ll definitely have something to smile about.  In the pack at Costco you get 4, 75 ml tubes for £8.14 with VAT.  While the tubes may sound small, that will last us about 4 weeks with both of us brushing once per day (don’t tell my dentist I don’t brush twice a day please).  The toothpaste is more runny than other kinds so you don’t seem to use as much.  And the good thing about the smaller tubes is that you can take them with you on an airplane.  And did I mention that your teeth will feel instantly cleaner and look better?  So, in addition to the wonder toothpaste, the Oral-B Advantage toothbrushes are also 20% off too.  You can get a package of 8 toothbrushes for £9.49 (with VAT) after the 20% discount; that’s £1.19 per toothbrush.  We are in dire need of both toothbrushes and toothpaste, so I am quite pleased to see these two deals.

And as usual, there’s always a coupon for something that I just bought.  This time it is contact solution, which always costs a fortune anywhere but Costco.  However, I was down to practically just bubbles from my small travel sized bottle that I had left for our trip back from Sydney.  I had no choice and had to co to Boots, so naturally there’s a coupon now.  But if you didn’t just buy this someplace else, it’s 20% off and that’s a good deal.

If you are moving, or just have a lot of taping needs, there’s a nice coupon for 25% off a variety of Scotch tape (3 kinds), glue sticks, and scissors.  Also, if you have been looking for a new toaster or kettle there is a £10.00 off coupon for the Dualit Architect 4 slice toaster  (£59.98 with VAT) or kettle (£47.98 with VAT).   But really, there are lots of good coupons, so be sure to check out the latest coupons before you go to Costco next time.
