Costco UK Coupon Book: October 12 – November 1, 2015

I’ve uploaded the new Costco UK Coupon Book PDF (or view it in the Google PDF viewer).  If you didn’t get your book or never do, you should stop by Customer Service and make sure that they have all of your mailing information correct and that you have allowed them permission to send you things in the mail.  Also, while you’re there, ask them for a copy of the latest book if they didn’t hand you one when you walked in the store.  In the UK they print the coupons on both sides of the pages, without the codes, and they just automatically deduct them after they ring up your items.  I love this method of couponing and I’m glad to see that it seems all Costco locations in the world are following suit.  I do still find it useful to have a copy so I know what to look for because I don’t always notice the signs that they’ve posted to let you know what has a coupon.  Of course, they often hand you a copy of the coupon book when you walk in the store or have them sitting there so you can grab one as you enter. I usually download a copy of the PDF to my phone before I go to the store so that I can easily reference it while shopping.  If you sign up to receive emails from, they will send you an email to let you know when the new coupon book is available online, usually the weekend before the new book starts.  Since they now post the coupons on the Costco UK website, you can always download a copy of the latest coupon book from there or you can find a link to it on the Warehouse Offers webpage.

If you’ve just gotten your electric bill and thought it would be a good place to spend less money, you might want to consider the deals for LED bulbs in this latest coupon book.  There are two separate deals for different kinds of LED bulbs, but either type will help cut the cost of lighting your home.  You can get £3.00 off a two pack of Feit GU10 LEDs; final price £7.18 with VAT.  These are the bulbs you’d use in those small flush ceiling mount downlights.  You can use these to replace a 50 Watt dimmable bulb and they’ll use just 6 tiny Watts and provide you with instant light and be fully dimmable too.  We have some of these and they are great.  I like the warm white colour and I’m really amazed at how much more light they put out.  The other good benefit to the LED lights is that they generate a lot less heat, which can be nice in a room like the kitchen or bathroom where you don’t really need the extra heat.  The other deal is for £2.00 off a three pack of Luminus A60 LED bulbs; final price £9.58 with VAT.  These look more like a regular light bulb and can be used to replace 60 Watt bulbs in things like lamps and regular light fixtures.  We have some wall sconces in a hallway that we have yet to switch over to LED bulbs, so I’ll probably pick up a couple packs of these so that we can have better light and save a bit on our electricity bill too.

If you’ve been doing a bit of cleaning around the house and have been thinking that putting a bit of steam behind it might help your floors and windows, you are in luck because it seems like everything Karcher is having a coupon this month at Costco.  There are three separate Karcher products in this coupon book so you can steam clean to your heart’s content and save a bit of money in the process.  You can get £10.00 off the Karcher WV5 Window Vac or the SC1 Handheld Steam Cleaner; both are £59.98 with VAT after the coupon.  If neither of those fits your cleaning needs, there’s also a coupon for £30.00 off a Karcher SC4 Floor Steam Cleaner; £131.98 with VAT final price.  I must admit that I am a bit intrigued by the window vac and sort of toying with the idea of getting one.  We have enormous windows in our flat that also have double glazing, so twice the windows for the purpose of cleaning, and keeping them clean is a bit of a chore, so anything that seems like it could make that easier is a good thing.  While you’re cleaning the house, you might as well extend your cleaning to your car with the Black & Decker 12v Car Vacuum for £5.00 off; £21.58 with VAT.  This is a brilliant little vacuum for anyone that is really particular about their vehicle (like me, if I still had a car).  It’s small and compact so you can easily get to all of the areas of your vehicle interior and the hose is long enough but not so long that it is more of a problem than a help.  It also has a long crevice tool to get in all the little nooks where dust and junk always collect in a car.   Plus, there’s even a storage bag to keep it all together in your garage.

You know when you are in Costco and thinking about getting something and you put it off, sometimes that is a bad thing because the product isn’t there the next time but sometimes you luck out and there’s a coupon for the next time.  That’s how I feel about two grocery items that are in this new coupon book.  So I doubly lucked out, it seems.  There’s a coupon for £2.00 off the 1.36kg bag of Kirkland Signature Frozen Atlantic Salmon; final price of £13.99.  I love these salmon fillets because they are boned and free of skin, plus they are individually vacuum packed so they stay really nice in your freezer.  We kind of rotate between this, the wild salmon, cod, and tilapia, though the salmon is always our favourite.   There’s also a coupon for £3.00 off Boneless, Skinless British Chicken Breast Fillets; final price depends on the weight of the package.  We always have these in our freezer and we were running a little low when we went this past weekend but I decided to wait until our next trip, so now I’m glad that I did that.  These are really nice, big breast fillets that are fresh, however, I bring them home and re-package them in two packs and pop them in the freezer.  They seem so much nicer than the frozen breasts that you buy, and are definitely better than the breasts I have gotten at other supermarkets and I’m sure that is because they are trimmed to Costco’s exacting standards.  We use them a lot for stirfry but they are actually great for roasting or grilling too because they are such a good size and always so juicy too.

Since it is quickly turning into the time of year when soup and stew start playing a regular part in your dinner menu, it is a good time to get a Crock Pot or a soup maker.  You can save £10.00 on a 5.7 litre Auto Stir Crock Pot; £47.98 with VAT.  It’s got a stainless steel and black finish and really does stir your dish for you!  I’d not heard of the Auto Stir Crock Pots before this but it is a brilliant idea to have something that will do all of the stirring for you so that your soup, stew, or whatever doesn’t stick and burn on the bottom.  It comes with two different type of stirring paddles, one for soups and thin stuff like that and one for thick items like a casserole.  There’s also a handy keep warm function.  If a Crock Pot isn’t your thing, you might also consider the deal for £5.00 off a Morphy Richards Saute Soup Maker; £41.98 with VAT.  This is kind of an interesting idea but is just focused on soup making.  You can saute your ingredients, like onion and garlic, right in the appliance and then add your other ingredients to make it into soup.  If you want a smooth soup there’s a function that will actually blend your soup into just the consistency that you want.  You can make a smooth soup, they say, in just 21 minutes.  I love smooth soups and usually just use my stick blender but this is a great way to avoid dirtying more things and getting a perfect texture to the soup too.  The other benefit to this kitchen appliance is that you can use it to make juice drinks, milkshakes, and smoothies , as well as soup apparently.

There are plenty of other great deals this month that I didn’t mention, plus a whole section highlighting some outstanding deals that can only be found through, such as an Apple MacBook Air 13.3″ for £769.99 with VAT and delivery.
